The changes can be seen all around us, in the recentadditions of Norwalk High School and the New Junior College, Los Cerritos. With expansion, adjustment to new situations must come. This growth has especially affected the administration of Excelsior and the district. Mr. Ralph Burnight, who has been superintendent of the dis- trict for eleven years, will move, July 1, to a new position as President of Los Cerritos. Stepping into Mr. Burnight's shoes will be Excelsior's own principal, Mr. Richard Gahr. Mr. Henry Korsmeir was Business Manager ofthe district.

- THERE WERE SEVERAL - MR. ALONZO VALENTINE MR. RICHARD GAHR Moving into the position of Superintendent of Schools is Mr. Richard Gahr, principal of Excelsior. During his 26 years at Excelsior Mr. Gahr served as teacher, Director of Guidance and Principal, on his way to his new position. Taking his place will be Mr. Alonzo Valentine. This will be a natural step, since his present iob is Assistant Principal. Duties of the principal were to direct the administration officers and teachers, work with the Parent Teachers Association, and to provide an educational program For the entire school.
