Head Bookkeeper ,u 1. Mr . Richard Gahr Mr. Richard Gahr, Excelsior's fine principal, has once more de- monstrated his unique ability to keep our school running efficiently. One of his many iobs was to carry out school policies which had been planned by the superintendent and Board of Trustees. His work with the parents and the teachers in all their activities certainly de- served merit too. Any honors bestowed upon Excelsior were partially brought about through the efforts of our principal.

Under the guidance of Mr. Dale Donnell the Excelsior High School Board of Trustees completed another year of assisting the school district. The Board was composed of five members, one from each district. Assisting the president were Mr. Arthur Kulzer, Mr. AI Sommer, Mr. Russel Utterback, and Mr. Carl Tague. At the monthly board meetings, bills concerning im- portant matters of the school were broughtup and decided upon .

Mr. Ashton was extremely interested in promoting boys educational and recreational activities at Excelsior High School. He was also concern- ed with the boys' enthusiasm and participation in s c h ool activities. He has truly balanced out the school year . Lucile Tombs Due to her fine leadership and careful guidance no one has done more to influence the lives of Ex- celsior girls than Miss Lucile Tombs.
