Whenever help was needed you could be sure one of the many secretaries was there to help. They helped form the bridge between the students and the faculty. One of their iobs was to keep the student and Financial records straight. As the downbeat is important to a song, so were our secretaries important to the smoothness of the running of our school. CAF ETERIA WORKERS -- Row I: D. Hogan, B. Burk- har, R. Gregory, M. Hoy. Row 2: M. Bordon, L. Boyd, J. Davenport, H. Galbreath. Insert - V. Red- mayne. CAFETERIA WORKERS -- Inmusic we refer toa group playing together as vivace. This word could have well been used to describe the cafeteria workers, who did not play, but worked hard under Mrs. Viola Red- mayne, serving us every day. FLIGHT DECK WORKERS -- The Flight Deck Workers, advised by Mr. Robert Eissler were a group of students also serving in the food department, who willingly gave up their snack and lunch period to supply the students with Food of their choice. The purpose of this club was to promote the wel- fare and social activity among members of the tacu I ty and administration. The Excelsior Chapter voted to award a titty dollar scholar- ship to Excelsior's outstanding student who was a member of the Future Teachers ol America. 'QI' Sh Mn 4. They were Mr. Robert Eissler, a commercial teacher on Ex- celsior's campus, serving as president, Mr. George Curtis, Chairman of Boys' Physical Education, was vice-president, Mrs. Anna Kerr, English teacher, was secretary and Miss Eva Williamson, also a commercial teacher, was treasurer. M3 BUS DRIVERS--D. Schoen, R. Osborne, O. Zwinge, O. Miller, HEAD OF TRANSPORTA- L. Ballard, C. Standlee, H. Armstrong, L. Cowen, J. Jennings, TION--Mr. Howard Ste- L. Boone, S. Sims, G. Bottema, V. Prewett, M. Thornton, R. Beau- ward. champ. BUS DRIVERS--This last year, as in many others, Excelsior had to use buses to transport students to and from school. Many workers were required, not only For this driving, but for maintaining and cleaning the buses. There were sixteen regular drivers and a few extra men to fill in when need- ed. A chorus of drivers worked together to keep the wheels singing and motors humming. HEAD OF CUSTODlANS-- Mr. Ben Stanfield. CUSTODIANS --A custodian's iob is sometimes difficult, but has proved to be very necessary. This year Excelsior's custodians were headed by Mr. Ben Stanfield. Their duties were to keep the campus clean, fill special orders For teachers, and keep the rooms neat and warm. Every day when school was dismissed the custodians went about the task of cleaning up after students and teachers. CUSTODIANS--E. Cade, L. Alkire, W. Kempton
