Janitor Activity, Gus Werner Custodes The ianitor staff was headed by Mr. Laurie, the chief custodian. Mr. Laurie had a staff ot ten men, custodians and watchmen, working under him. Their jobs were not only confined to keeping the buildings clean and in order, but also involved filling the teachers' supply orders and special requests. The food prepared by the cafeteria crew, under the guidance of Miss Helen James, produced energy for the war- riors and their commanders, enabling them to meet any conflict that arose. Their duties were to help cook and serve the food, and to wash the dishes. This work was deeply appreciated by those receiving these services. The Student Body would like to express its thanks to these students for the fine job they did. J. DAVENPORT At Excelsior the Student Body is very proud of its district transportation staff. This group worked hard to keep Excelsior's Chariots in good condition and to get the discipulii to and from school on time.
