acugy Onward and upward has truly signified the aspirations of this year's faculty. Each member of that large body has seemed to be striving through the different shades of school life to prepare the students for those stars to which they have hitched their dreams. y To aid us students in the development of our different talents and abilities, we have specialized teachers in each department, working together for the same end, to help make us better qualified citizens for the world of tomorrow. With enthusiastic guidance in the classes and in extra-curricular activi- ties. they have offered greater opportunities to all with whom they have come in contact. They have also given us, in a much larger sense, a true understanding of how men and women, all striving for the same goal. but perhaps in different phases, can work together and through co-operation, accomplish their purpose. From the recollection of the past. they have shown us how to think more clearly and constructively and how to plan for that world whch is soon to be ours. To further the professional advancement of teaching and to offer better instruction to us as students, a new organization, the Faculty Asso- ciation, has been formed, with energetic Mr. Lunde as president. By departments and subjects we present to you in the following pages the I946-I947 Excelsior faculty . . .
