twenty ,f ,v 1:- senate The Senate a newly formed organization went into a very successful and active season. Headed by Ralph Russell the Senate consisted of two representatives from each U. S. History and American Problems class, and one each from English I and English ll classes. The work of the Senate was to act as a clearing house for all student body and school affairs. Among their first-year accomplishments were the admission of a number of outsiders to the school dances, the inauguration of the pro- ject to buy an organ, and a revision of the serv- ice point system. This body, which satislies a long-felt need in the field of student govern- ment, should prove increasingly beneficial to the cause of student government at Excelsior.
