PULIEE Chosen by the Chief Iustice and faculty adviser from a large group of volunteers, the police force is one of the more important dis- ciplinary instruments of the school. In keep- ing with the principle of student government, the force is composed of students who have the power of keeping order and issuing blue slips. Not only does the police force maintain order, but the staff is also responsible for promoting a high standard of citizenship among the students. The adviser is Mr. Richardson and the student head of the police force is the student body sergeant-at-arms. In the first semes- ter Ioffre Pelletier was Sergeant-at-arms and during the second semester Loyd Martin held the position, To both of these students, to Mr. Richardson, and to all those on the force, credit should be given for the past year's activity.

Four judges sit each period and try cases of students who are summoned from study halls. The judges vote to decide how many merits shall be deducted from the stu- dent's record. If any student believes he has been unjustly penalized he may present his case before the court. Also, if any stu- dent shows a marked deficiency in his citizen- ship record he may be served with a notice to appear before the committee. Milton Cook served as Chief Iustice for the first semester, followed by Frank Slaugh- ter, second semester.
