Two full years with some bad days, but most of all two full years with lots of good days. Two full years with some unhappiness, but more important two full years with lots more happiness. Two full years of hard work, but nevertheless two full years of fun. Yes, we've been through good and bad weather but if you look over these past years you have to say, we've been a success. But not just a success, a smashing success! When you think back, you have to wonder, who made us this success? Think a little while and you can't help but to come to the conclusion that our success was not the work of just one person but the work of all of us working for success, all of us working to make Ewing Park Junior High the best school in Nashville. Despite this, the efforts of one person have stood out above all the others. His efforts have been unsurpassed in making our school the success it is. No one could have taken his place in these first years. Though sometimes he may do things we think wrong, we must all agree that his decisions are all for the good of us and our school and that he is one-hundred per cent on our side. So, for his efforts in building us from nothing to Ewing Park Junior High School we dedicate this, our first annual to Mr. Lucien Battle, the man on our side. 0 FICE STAFF A ' xx? The pace we have set is hard and fast, and the road is roygh, but the reward is great. We hope that the precedent that we have set isworth keeping and has we go down our pathways, all those who follow will remember what we have left behind. 1 if A ready smile and a helping hand helped to make Terri Crump and Mark LeMay Most Popular at Ewing Park. The double breasted blazer of Bobby Burton and the petite femininity of Ginger Mooneyhan easily label them Neatest and Daintiest of all. Here are two faces present at every sporting event. The Most Athletic stu- dents here are Mike Sanders and Donna Bussell. Freshmen Hrsts These students have been chosen as outstanding by the student body. We have selected these to represent us, graduating class of 1969. Continuous high grades and great efforts gave David Lewis and Cindi Nichols the title Most Studious. One glance will tell you that the Best Looking students at Ewing Park are Patty Baldwin and Mike Griflith. Randy Dunn and Violet Cain are easily the Most Likely to Succeed. Would you believe that Kay Taylor and Bill Murray got Wittiest ? Two voices can always be heard above the crowd at the games, as Donnie Hull and Cathy Reese yell out their Best School Spirit. Thanks to their great personalities, LaRawn Scaife and Kenny Iones are the Best All Around in this school. FORENSIC CLUB The purpose of the Ewing Park Forensic Club is to improve each individualis expression and communication. Some of the different categories of speech were extemporaneous, original oratory, and poetry. Though the team was not complete a respectable name was established by placing seventh out of eighteen schools in our first meet. As practice, each morning a member gives a thought for the day. This program has turned out to be very successful. Thanks to the Forensic Club for the effort that they put forth and to Mr. Nahay for his sponsorship. The Annual Staff Our Annual staff Worked long Gregory, our two eighth graders and hard, slaving over copy pages and typewriters in a feverish effort to complete our task. We would especially like to thank Kenny Holder, As- sistant Class Editor, and Robert Violet Cain Asst, Editor Stephanie Karr Class Editor Dana Carey Art Editor Kenny longs Editor Randy Dunn Business Mgr. for their efforts.
