member when we all woke up at two in the morning. or was it really six? Xvho played Taps on a toy trumpet at three in the morning, and who rang the cow-bell at five? We also were certain that one classmate would never want to see the railing of a boat againl In the words of Cinny llusso, we leave a parting bit of advice about our trip to our understudies, Get to the station on time . .-if-f V, Seelic U. The date of the Senior Prom, 'illaniianalf was Nlay 23, 1958. For the first time the prom was held in the gym, and to go with the gala evening, Lennie Enourato sup- plied the music with his fifteen-piece band. Fol- lowing the prom. which lasted from nine until one. was a post prom sponsored by the P. T. A. Not only did we have breal4fast and dinner. but also we saw a full length movie. Never shall we forget the gorgeous Oriental decorations ivhich transformed the gym into a garden of paradise. V Act V, scene ui. At graduation we had our biggest and best scene plus a curtain call to end our high school play. Another first was estab- lished by our class by having our graduation ceremonies outside in the court-yard of Ewing High. As the diplomas were placed in our hands, we knew that our days at Ewing had come to a close, but we realized that we would have larger scripts and bigger plays to star in in the future. NVQ- of the Ewing High School Class of 1958 wish to extend all our best wishes to you, our understudies, who will take our place next year and in the years to come. All of us realize that without your spirit and patron- age of our activities, we never would have had the fun and broken all the records that we did. Always we shall hope that your play will be as great a one as ours was. and that your big acts and scenes as memorable and as happy as ours have been.

ever forget a girl walking through a closed door, or the spilling of water on the chair in which another girl sat a few minutes later. But the biggest attraction seemed to be the fight scene in the plax' between Vince Segal and Bill Craf- ton. Act V. scene i. At last we were the stars of our own show! The class was again directed by jerry Xliller, and this time 'lim Arena was at his side. Bettv Ann Smith and Pat Bruccoleri were the writers of the scripts. Kathy Fitz-Xlaurice was our financier, and Nancy Duthie wrote the last part of our class history. Nlr. llobert Steele produced the showg he seemed to have a won- derful time working with us. Act V, scene ii. Again our teams gave Ewing a big honor. XYe had the privilege of receiving the first football trophy in the history of the school. We defeated all the city schools to be- come the proud owners of the city trophy, lt seemed that neither the team or the cheerlead- ers went home the same way they came-most were slightly wet! ixlff V, scene iii. Mr. Lacy again took over the direction of our class play, Father of the Bride , presented on December 6 and 7, 1957. Lew Littman, Gail Coates, and Ellen Clark had top billings for this big scene. XYe were very happy to break four records in presenting this play. XYe had the largest patron list, made the most profit, had the largest attendance for one night. and had the largest over-all attendance. Vfe also were the first class to hold an after- noon matinee for the Alunior lligh students. Art. V. .s'r'eue ir.
