enlor Class Hlstor The tollmg of the old bell on the grounds of the Everly Consolrdated School brought our class together for the frrst tame back an September l940 It marked the trme when 2l youngsters of thus vlcrmty let go of mamas apron strrngs and proudly set out on a new adxenture of therr own Vle were greeted at the door of the frrst grad room with a frrendly smrle from Mass Joyce Carlson our frrst nnstructor The new faces rn school that year belonged to John Anderson Ruchard Barrus Gary Dempsey Stanley Evans Alvun Schnerder Ronald Van Houten Merlyn Zesrger Verlyn Zesuger Dons Geerdes Mary Ann Glackrn Marf Ann Heuck Vera Kruse Jamce Maller Mary Peterson Mavrs Schnerder Donna Tesch and Clarrce Westphal Lours Brshop and Duane Yount were added to our class durrng the year and Alvm Glackrn and Janice Muller e Wrth many brraht aspects to look for ward to we contrnued on to the second grade wrth the same Instructor Due to a landslrde we lost Donna Tesch Marv Alvun Schneider Everett Carnlne Bonnve lhnen Joanne Mack and Beverly Branhagen loaned us whale Lours Brshop Ronald Van Houten Gary Dempsey Stanley Evans Jo anne Mack and Beverly Branhagen wander ed away durrng the year The thrrd year brought few changes rn the enrollment of our class There was only one addrtron DeEtta Brownfreld We were under the gurdance of Carol Lou Marquart We acquured another new teacher rn the fourth grade Mass Mary Graves Shirley Campbell was added to our class but left at the second semester along wrth Elarne Roberts Durrng the flfth grade Elatne Roberts agarn made her appearance an our class whale Everett Carnrne Donald Lange Clar ace Westphal Merlyn Zesrger and Verlyn Zesrger left We were under the able leadershrp of Mrss Alnce Albers We changed captarns agarn rn the srxth grade to Mrss Jacquelrne Soll who also gurded us through the erghth grade Rach ard Johnson who soon left loaned us alona wrth Donna Quarl at the second semester The seventh grade brought the frrst bt of masculmuty unto the leadershrp of our class He was Mr Wm Hansen Gerald Huss lonned us that year and nn the second semester we gained Delma Klett and lost Duane Yount and John Anderson The erghth and frnal year of our struggle through elementary school brought Robert Stallman Arnold Wrnterboer Donald Wm terboer and Ethel Prentrce who left agarn on to the class roll The fnnale to our years of studyrng was our long awarted fars drploma a hrghly valued prece of paper bv the l6 members of our 8th grade graduatrng cass Now an enormous hugh school stared us rn the face and sometrmes we wanted to frnd somethrng to crawl mto But luke the comrades drd of old we faced It and con tmued on We were lorned by several new faces enterrng our hrgher rnstrtutron f learnmg namely John Wreben Gene gomery Darrel Errcksen Wayne Brock Charlotte Klmball and Beverly Branhagen Beverly Branhagen left agarn at the 2nd semester We mrraculously survrved the rmtratron and had lots of fun berng green freshres under the sponsorshrp of Mr Ralph Olson Our sophomore year brought a f more changes rn our class roll Dorrs Geer des Wayne Brock and Earl Pomrenke left to lorn the throngs rn other hugh schools Unfortunate as tt may be the departures from our class brought rr-any gay trmes as we had farewell p rtres f them all Thrnkmg we were a good bunch Mr Olson chose to gurde us through thus year also The rumor year was an eventful one wth many class partres the presentatron of our class play Let Me Out of Here under the drrectron of Mass Albus the adornmgnt our class rmgs and our JumorSlnt-r B1 quet Our banquet wrth tts thutg x lrght Gnd Roses xvundgrwualx tuned Qu O O ' ' , ' i , . , , . . . l . r 1 V1 , I , .
