Eagles come in all shapes and sizes, yet each and every Eagle has that special pride and feeling towards their student body, faculty and school. Every student is an important person on our campus and it shows everywhere you look in EAGLE COUNTRY. Throughout the year, we have the chance to mature both academically and socially with school being at the very heart of our lives. DEDICATION The EAGLE SPIRIT for 1981 is dedicated to Mr. John May. It is by his direct leadership and guidance over the past years that Everitt has become the best Junior High school in Bay County. We are proud to have this fine man in the principal's office. He tries to treat all the students as if they were his very own and this is a tremendous responsi- bility that he assumes successfully. He loves to see his past students who have become successful in life be- cause he feels he played a role in their success. We are honored to dedicate this book to Mr. May. Mr. May received his undergraduate degree from Tulane Univ. After serving 44 months in the U.S. Navy during W.W. ll, he received his Master of Arts degree from George Peabody College. He coached football at Mainland H.S. in Daytona Beach and coached with Doug Dickey at the University of Tennessee while working as an academic counselor. Mr. May then moved to Panama City to become the principal of Everitt Jr. High. 6
