FOOUSING ON FLOFtIDA'S SEAFOOD Everitt's Home Economic's Depart- ment sponsored a seafood festival to promote awareness of seafood and its uses, Many area dlgnataries including Sherriff Lavelle Pitts, his wife, and Su- perintendent Pete Holman attended the festival. A representative of the Marine Patrol spoke on safety in get- ting Florida's seafood from the sea, and a Home Economist demonstrated a recipe for a seafood dish that could have many uses in meal planning. A representative of Florida's Natural Fle- source Council explained many habits of sea creatures such as crabs, oys- ters, fish, etc. After the lectures and demonstrations, good food, including shrimp, oysters, gumbo, fish and seafood pizza was en- joyed by everyone attending. fl Jaws ll got away, so we setted for this item which, in Florida, we call a FlSH . One of Mr. May's favorite hobbies is cooking, but it looks like his food is going after him! The Annual Science Fair at Everitt gives all the soi- ence students at Everitt an opportunity to show their knowledge and abilities they have acquired in sci- ence olasses as demonstrated in their projects. Each project is judged according to its category. Trophies are given to the first place winners and ribbons are awarded to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th places.
