'2 DEDICATION A DEDICATIO What best characterizes the substance of Tony Juska - a smile, a joke, a helping hand? Tony freely gave of all of these during his thirteen year span as Athletic Director at E.P. from 1963 to 1976. He somehow always made time to undertake another task, to no- tice and care for others, to listen, and to help. Even more, Mr. juska exemplifies in- tegrity through his fair and equal treatment of all, patience and dedication through his long hours at an endless job, stamina to stand for a set of ideals, and the curiosity of an open mind. What might have been the source of Tony's drive and desire to devote thirty- two years of his life to college and high school athletics? In part, perhaps, it was the pride and exhaltation he felt when he scored the winning touchdown for Lindbloom H. S. in the first Chicago Bowl prep game, or when he was cited a city champ in wrestling. Whatever the source of Mr. Juska's principles, we dedi- cate this book to him, believing that his ideals will be perpetuated by the scores of lives he influenced during his career. We miss his daily presence, and we wish him many years of happiness ahead. The words of Maynard Stelzer, fellow coach for twelve years, can apply to all of us who knew Tony Juska - He touched me, and Ihave grown. John Megson Chairman, Boys' P.E.
