The weekly menu must be planned with a thought for nutrition. variety, und economy. This responsible position is filled by Mrs. Ruth Halpin, cafeteria supervisor, who stands .it the extreme right in the picture. Her capable staff is composed of Mar- garet Rosner, Mary Sokota. Alice Kerk- stra, Helena Creaney, Rose Dorl, Clara Levenger, Frances Stein. .ind Lena Pelle- grino. Can she bake a Cherry pie! CUSTODIANS X The team of custodians, headed by industrious Art Roller, do a splendid job of keeping the school in good working order. The custodial staff not only has charge of big things like heating and repairing lights but also Time on the mend! takes care of the million and one little things that can go wrong in the course of the school year. Service with a smile is surely the motto of our custodians for they certainly accept with cheerfulness and cordiality the job of keeping the school clean and beautitul. SCHUENI-IFIDFR I..iy-Our Ifditwr' STUDE T At the state convention held at Chicago's Sheraton Hotel in April, the Student Council again did itself proud when the year's projects and progress were outlined. Little known to Evergreen students is that the coun- cil controls and budgets all school funds in addition to serving as the central governing body of all school organizations. The bonfire, held in honor of the school's homecoming, was perhaps one of the council's most successful proj- ects. The 1958-59 student council will also be remembered by future seniors as the group that approved the establishment of an hour lunch. The student body of Evergreen Park Community High School can well be proud of their student council. 41 SEATED: C. Butts, G. Janich, J. Campbell, D. Klama, R. Mr. Howard. Mr. Pemberton. N.
