22 Prom Court; Junior attendants Scott Conrad and Janel Langenderfer, Senior attendants Clark Emmons and Jana Peebles, Queen Shannon Wallace and King Brian Geer, Junior attendants Karen Diebert and Scott Gillen. A long night to remember. In an effort to make the prom outstanding, the Class of ’88 chose Holland Gardens for a location. Because affordable bands were not capable of providing the quality and variety of music desired, a disc-jockey Mr. Entertainer was hired. Using that source of music students could request what they wanted to hear. Silver and blue balloons floated above tables and dance floor setting the mood for A Night to Remember. Silver amd blue memory books and nut cups carried the theme and served as keepsakes. About two-hundred people enjoyed eating, dancing, and getting pictures taken. Of course, a major topic for conversation was how great everyone looked dressed in formal clothes. A most remarkable outfit was Steve Garlicks’ blue denim tux, designed and sewn by Steve, with some help from mother. Following the prom, an after-prom, paid for by junior parents, was held at Aquarius Athletics. It gave students a chance to let off steam swimming, playing volleyball or racquet ball; relax and watch movies; or eat. Center right; After coronation the crowd thinned enough to allow Junior class President Greg Hoffman with his date Leslie Ott, and Junior class Secretary Janel Langenderfer with her date Chris Ott, and Karen Diebert with Troy Torbet to enjoy the last moments of the prom they worked for over a year to create.
