VARSITY . . . with the addition of a new coach the team showed more spirit than ever as it wheeled its way to a successful season. In the record books it may have been mediocre but in the minds of the play- ers and the loyal Evergreen fans this season was better than ever! RESERVES . . . young and inexperiencedg that was our Junior Varsity team. With only one Junior, the team gained much valuable experience as many players were platooned as Coach Steck tried to find the winning combination. He seemed to be finding it at the end as the team made a good showing the last few weeks. GARY LANGENDERFER - Captain Senior Guard

1970-71 Wrestlers , Q SITTING: Iohn Mika, Steve Smith, Barry Simon, Dan Ott, Ed Pinkelman, Mark Ott. KNEELING: Ron Ersham, Tom Taylor, Mike Vasko, Dean Kaplan, Bart Condon, Rich Mosiniak, Terry Smallman, Doug Herr - Mgr. STANDING: Coach Harrison, Scott Shaffer, Dean Buckenmeyer, Dan Walters, Bob Wanless, Roger Pinkelman, lim Smith, Larry Vasko, Jim Marvin, Randy Challen. . . . the Matmen had a successful season, as they combined to win three Varsity meets, two meet scrimmages, and placed second in the annual Delta toumaments. They also came very close in other dual meets. Coach Harrison was pleased with the sea- son and hopes for a successful next season. Grapplers hit the record books as they scored two consecutive Victories and scored a team high of 42 points in one dual meet. . . . the Varsity E Club consists of members who have earned Varsity status by participating in one or more Varsity sports. The purpose of the club is to interest more boys in participating in high school sports, and also earning money for the Athletic pro- gram. A few of the activities that the club works at are soliciting ads for the football and the 'basketball programs. They also sell refreshments at extracur- ricular activities.
