Have you had a Fuller Brush man around your house lately? Well, Sam Porter is the new salesman for this area. Sam says its amazing to see how many of the girls just ended up being housewives. There are Marla Iverson, Mardell Northrop, Myra Voss, Margaret Johnson, Karen Bowen, Betty Carlson, Pat Thacker, and Nancy Rossiter. Also in the selling business is Dianna Currier who sells Avon Products. Sue Hess now runs the neatest bop joint in town. It is called Slinky Sue's . Every night when the cool- est cat in town fAllen Tiffanyl walks into Slinky's he goes to a small corner where Alice Sherrel is still try- ing to master the art of Bookkeeping. For entertainment Sue has Buddy Dreir playing the bongos while Corrine Ohlinger pounds on the piano. This is the most popular hangout of the beatniks of yesteryear. The cats are Gary Monson, Lee Schmid, Karren Ziebell, Laura Dollarhide, Elsie Wallace, and Rick Harris. In sports we have the four horsemen of UCLA: Bruce Liebman, George Yaw, Allen Crumpton, and Joe Kunkel. Margaret Haagen swam the English Channel, while Jim McAbee went to the Olympics as a track star. Rod Cusie and Wayne Thorpe can be found at the Bonneville Salt Flats racing their Wheatie power- ed go-kart in an attempt to break the worlds land speed record. Speaking of sports, have you ever heard of the women's softball team called the Dilly Phillies? Well, the manager of the team is Jerome Salvey. The players are all graduates of the senior class of 60. They are Peggy Buzzini, Sally Lyons, Annette Mann, Hazel Munger, Carol Streitt, Wanda Pace, Marilyn Pietrsykowksi, Janis Seekins, Deloris Trammell Who's head of the City Sanitary Department? None other than Herb Wainwright. Working for Herb we have Garry Morrow, Marilyn Grimm, and Jackie Luman. Also working for the City is Mayor Chuck Mason. Evergreen has a new principal. He is Clyde Duback. On the faculty is Don Eldred, Phyllis Patten, Karolyn Tyler, Gerry Higdon, and Frances Dashen. Working in the Cafeteria are Marian HOOVGI' and Jackie Anderson. Television stars sure have changed. Dale Merrill and Don Kern have taken the place of the Lone Ranger and Tonto. Annie Oakley is now played by Jean Miller. Paul Kuter can be seen as emcee of American Bandstand. Marshall Dillon fJim Mullinsl and Chester lKen Keelerl can still be seen on Saturday even- ings. On Saturday afternoon you can still see Tugboat Annie who is now played by Marilyn Krout. We now have the Wirkkala sisters, Margie and Marian who are the stars of the Chevy show. Playing on the Lawrence Welk show is Nancy Martin, Kay Person and Peggy Smith. The new Champagne lady is Linda Griffith. Joyce Uhacz is doing pretty good for herself also. She's the favorite cover girl for the Mad magazine. Speaking of magazines, the photographer fDuane Rosel of the Look Magazine went to South Africa to take pictures of how the people live. Duane said that there were several people he knows, such as Gail Vandenberge who is queen of the Jungle, Danny Baylous head witch doctor and Yvonne King is now the official head shrinker. If you were to walk into the American Tobacco Company you would probably see a cloud of smoke as you walk in. Behind that smoke you would find Big Chief Puff 1Dick Gibsonj who is manager. Under Dick s management is Francis Scott, Vincent Ellithorpe and Maridee Garvey. Working in the Mogen David factory we have Linda Young, Sue Morris, Merritt Richards, and Kenton Allum who crush grapes. While sloshing around in the grapes they sing Kisses Sweeter than Wine . During the different holidays throughout the year, different people portray different characters. If you just happen to be at a New Year's Eve party you might keep your eyes open to see Marie Hering as the Old Year, When Easter rolls around Larry Rice is right there to play the part of the Easter Bunny. Making fire crackers for the fourth of July is Dick Haynes and his two assistants, Judy Boatright and Doreen Paradis, fThey sure have a blast every yearl. Of course, we can't forget good old Santa! Ron Milner sets inas Santa every year at Sears and Roebuck Toyland. It seems like for the past five years Erwin Martell and Don Snoen haven't been able to keep a job. As the two unemployed walk down the railroad tracks, Joe Owens who is now Engineer of the S. P. gl S. railroad, never fails to toot at them as he goes by. The only one left is me and that's not saying much. I'm still trying to write a book. ! A.n Old Classmate Dixie Barber 83
