the prom. The narne of it was Stairway to the Stars and nobody got through the door without an invite. This year the class gained a lady forem help the kids. The forging! this year were Mrs. Vaughan and Mr. Chambers. ' ' h e Well. they finally hit the top of the haystack. The senior year brought meny c or s. in the corral. This was a radio program with two of the senior maverics starrin' on Youth Views the News, the first time it ever here in this neighborhood. Next the class put on the senior play, Our Miss was Brooks. Two chores were taken care of next, the Homecoming Dance at which Faye Cherry was crowned queen, and the Hi Dirty Birds wing-ding. Queen Carol I fAnder- sonj was crowned at the junior-Senior Prom. Helpin' her out were Betty Irwin and Fa e Cherry. The best chore of the year was the Senior trip to Seaside. g Y On the business end of the class, Emalie Schaferand Betty Irwin were roped into being valedictorian and salutatorian with Malcolm Blair as class speaker and Kay Valen- ' ' d B ' tol and tine as faculty speaker. Two edited the Booster and the Plarnsman, ju y rrs Darline Becker. Harry Friberg, Harley Hall, Faye Cherry, and Dams Hardy represented the once greenhorns in the Student Council. ' ' 'l .I f ot- Meny of the senior boys were roped into athletics and earnt meny tit es n o ball, Dave Hansen was the king lineman of the year, and Dave Daily king maveric with an outstanding back of the year. In basketball, Larry Collins got a gold basketball for his defensive play, and john Gorman received one for best offensive player.
