Whether it be the friends, the counselors you fell in love with or the together- ness you felt for thdt one specidl week. Comp hos not chonged much. They still send student counselors ond the sixth grdders still go home crying. One of the mdny student counselors thot Evergreen sent up wos sophomore Ben lbdle. When Ben wos osked dbout whdt he would most remember dbout cdmp he commented, You remem- ber your kids. They chdnge so much in just one week. lt's on experience I will never forget. l wont to go up ogoin next yedr. Ben's feelings were shdred by mony of the counselors. They oll ogreed it wos o specidl ledrning experience thot they dll hdd fun ot, dnd thot the experience wos quite memordble for oll por- ties involved. At the comp, counselors got to know themselves ond did not hdve to oct to try to impress dnyone. Everyone dccep- ted edch other how they were. Most dt Ieost remem- bered the joy dnd togetherness they felt. When some sixth grdders were osked why they dt- tended comp, they com- mented shyly thot they were looking for new friends to tell secrets to ond new people to meet. The kids en- joyed d bredk from their teochers ond were en- thusiostic dbout ledrning from high school kids. The times ond experience they shdred will not soon be forgotten by either the kids or the counselors. lt wds quite d ledrning experience for dll of them.
