' PRGM I 98 A Dance Worth Remembering v Prom King and Queen .lerry Abraham and Chris Kano smile as they enjoy the v A limo idly waits outside the Collesium night. to chauffer people on a sightseeing v Enjoying the dance are Charmaine tour around Seattle after Prom. Caros and Ryan Gulin. f The excitement of the event floated through the air. The aura was contagious as whispers buzzed in classrooms and hallways. What does your dress look like? Where are you guys going to dinner? My friend told me he was renting a limo. Seniors were thrilled to be going to the last dance of their high school career. Juniors talked anxiously of going to the biggest dance of the year. As the night of Prom drew nearer, the wallets of students became lighter. Money was put into buying or renting tuxedos, dresses, flowers, limos, and as the tradition goes--hotel rooms. On the morning of April 25th at the Rainier Room, a group of junior were preparing for the big event. Balloons, streamers, table cloths, and center pieces were among the decorations displayed. The caterers had been called and were preparing food such as sandwiches, relish trays, nuts, mints, and punch. They also supplied the food table with an ice carving of two birds sit- ting on a heart. As people began to arrive, the photographers set about taking all sorts of candid pictures. Also available by :BA Prom

Formal Tolo was a Tremendous success. ln puT- Ting on Tolo, The sophomore class had To plan weeks before The dance ThaT was on March 7Th. ln preparaTion, chaperones needed To be found, They had To come up wiTh someone To play The music for The dance, and of cour- se no formal dance would be compleTe wiThouT refreshmenTs. The dance was from eighT-Thirfy To eleven-ThirTy. This years music was puT on by KPLZ radio sTaTion. They played all The laTesT dance music, and everyone had a special Time. The Theme for The dance was, Can'T Help Falling ln Love WiTh You, by Corey HarT. Before The dance each couple had eaTen aT Their favoriTe resTauranTs. This Time The ladies leff The Tips and picked up The Tabs. Some favoriTe resTauranTs were Simon's and SaITy's on Alki. This years royaliy were elecTed The Tuesday before The dance. The freshmen prince was Brian Nesseley, 4 Jason Sawyers and Janelle Dyke have some refreshmenfs while h TT Th D IB hler and olo Reflecfs Elegance Us The sophomore prince Brad LiTTle, and The junior prince was Ryan Gulin. The nominees for The senior king were Dan Hook, Jerry Abraham, and Leo Porras. AT The dance everybody waiTed for The royally an- nouncemenT and soon found ouT ThaT Leo Porras would be chosen as our new Formal Tolo King.
