Barbara Barron. 6OA Softball Lady Wolves, Best Season Ever The high spirited Lady Wolves produced one of their best E.H.S. soft- ball seasons ever. Not to mention two very satisfying wins over their number one rival, the Kennedy Lancers. All- NPSL player Daylene Boehm CMFPJ and returning letterwoman Stephanie Johnson both led the team with powerful hits and outstanding defen- sive play. The pitching staff was also a great part of the Evergreen squad. Seniors Darcy Cass and Sherri Crouse and Freshman Michelle Lund all knew how to make it difficult for their op- ponents to get a hit. While in the out- field, enthusiastic senior Stacey Thorlacius made some tough catches look easy and cheered the team to victory. Although the girI's batting averages weren't always as high as they had hoped for, their defense accom- modated nicely. Even head coach Lapasin agreed that the team was one of the best defensive teams l've ever coached. And thanks to an excellent J.V. team this year, coached by Ms. Klewin, there should be some nice additions to the varsity team next year. by Marylynn Walbaum
