Fearless flittle did they knowj editors Jordan and Julie and head photographer Jerry embarked on a jour- ney to Eastern Washington University, for a three day Jostens workshop. During their stay, Jordan and Julie discovered the immense gap between what each thought a yearbook should contain, and Jerry learned how to be a photographer lwhich he hadn't known beforej. Jordan also learned to like the Beatles. Arriving back in Seattle, J 8 J were anxious land frightenedj to begin the school year as the leaders of a group of thirteen rookies and only six veteran staff people. Jord was a little scared to speak in front of the class, so they were kind of left in the dark for a while. Our brave editors struggled in first period, trying to develop a ladder, theme, and cover. Great de- bate occured between Julie, Jordan, and Mr. Church, the advisor. They wanted s more catchy, contemporary theme for their book, and finally arrived at ln Motion Towards Success. It was developed quite well on the theme pages, but was lacking throughout the rest of the book. Maybe they'll do better next year with theme. Any- ways, going through the 85-86 ladder, J 8 J modeled the 86-87 ladder. They got a little tricky with the color section, and greatly expanded the academics coverage. With a rapidly approaching first deadline, Julie and Jord ironed out their differences and worked together. Deadlines came and went, and each lexcept for the December deadline when Julie took her infamous Brazilian vacation that left Jordan and Mr. Church on their ownj was a bit smoother than the previous one. Mr. Church, Jordan, and Jay came to school twice during winter break, to finish up senior memories and rock to A Reggae Christmas. When the year finally ended, many pressing questions were left unanswered. Will Jason 's aspirations to become a future editor be fulfilled? Will Erin ever meet deadlines on time? Will Jim show up for class? Will Jerry D. ever find his Pringle's? I don't know. It was quite a year. Jordan Kuehh EdiTor's ' , , g l ,,,, ff gm. 1, X . f s g, ill' Note 203
