Mr, Kenny is Inspector of Wires in Westwood, his home town. He is also a consultant for the Electronic Welding Co. in Amesbury. The Class of 1964 wish him many years of success and happiness. LINCOLN v ARC WELDING AWARD PROGRAM STUDENT GOVERNMENT DAY STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE WILLIAM LEVY My day at the State House was both educational and interesting to me, and many of the students of various high schools throughout the state. During the course of the day we did many things, such as discussing and debating bills in the Senate Chamber. Some of the bills were: 1. To prohibit advertising of alcohol beverages 2. To lower the voting age to 18 years 3. To regulate offensive advertising 4. To offer free summer vacation schools Then shortly after noon a box lunch was served at the Gardner Auditorium sponsored by the Massachusetts Teachers ' Association. I met many of the state officials and the governor. My day at the State House was most enjoyable. The Automobile Repair Department students were given a combination Shop Safety-Red Cross First Aid course as part of their regular course of study. Somerville Trade High (twice), Lynn Trade High, Don Bosco Technical High and the Essex Agricultural and Technical High harriers fell victims to the speed and team play of our squad. St. Xavier High of Concord defeated our runners by a close score. This season ' s performance makes our school ' s 36 year total 239 vic¬ tories as against 42 defeats. This outstanding achievement is com¬ parable (sportswise) to any x-country record by any other high school hill and dale team in the Commonwealth. Co-cap ' t Ronald Senna was the team ' s number one runner as he won five first individual prizes in six dual meets. This 1 963 edition of long distance runners showed a sportsman¬ ship of a high order, regular attendance at practice, strict adherence to the rules of good training, good conduct, and a championship performance. PLAYOFF GAME AT BEDFORD MASSv In Trade School competition this years ' club finished in a first place tie with Haverhill y both teams having a total of eight wins as against two losses. A play-off game for the league title was won by Haverhi 11. Capt. James Codner and Robert Milano were outstanding on de- dense, with Milano also scoring in double figures. Capt. Codner set a wonderful example with his team spirit and will to win. James Castadoro and Vincent Bono figured high in scoring and played the guard posiion as though they enjoyed it and were having fun. Ronald Senna scored well from the corner and came up with some key rebounds. Bench strength was supplied by Ronald Jannino, Roy La Frenier and Richard Pezzuto.
