fn' ,fr Q L I . . . . . sJur student government is one where the right of election is well secured and regulated. and the exercise of the legislative, executive, and judiciary authorities is vested in select persons: these arc chosen hy the students to represent them and act as their leaders. Student government accomplishes a great deal, not only hy promoting students' interests and giving their points of view on education, hut hy preparing students somewhat for responsihility which will he placed on them in the future. Presiding officer of the student council this year was Duane Roino. The student council, an important governing hody of the school, consists of the presidents of the Girls' and Boys' cluhs. who act as vicefpresidents of the council, and of the student hody treasurer and secretary, and the president, vice president, and secretary of each class. BEFLEBTIIIB LU ith the receding of this school year. we look hack on another out' standing year for the Cirls' Cluh under the LIKIYISCISINP ol' Miss Esther Johnson. The priinary interest of this cluh is to engage every girl in some activity so that she may meet other girls and also feel that she is a part ol' EHS. As always this cluh had many line projects. such as the Big Sister Tea. filling of welfare haskets, and the clothing drive they held for needy families.
