This musical group. under the direction of Raymond Howell, has appeared in many school assemblies. They have provided music for numerous civic meetings. and they also played an important part in bringing back the Hifjinx, since they furnished the musical background for this popular vaudeville show. This year the orchestra was the musical mainstay of the annual Christmas Nativity Pageant, playing some of the world's greatest sacred music for the enjoyment of an appreciative audi' ence. Easter Sunday the orchestra, along with the choirs, present' ed a sacred concert, which was attended by many Everett citizens as well as students. The Missoula, Montana, music conclave attracted two students from the orchestra: Ray Krebs, violin, and Rex Bienz, violin. Bryce Munger was featured at the piano in Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto in C Minor when the orchestra participated in the annual Spring concert in the auditorium. Nearly the entire orchestra played in the Seattle competition and the Snohomish county music festivals. 'ffslya Q fi ffl N s - N , r .
