We ' ve grown, matured, learned, And thanks to our years at F U.S., we ' re more than ready to face the .halIcnges of the future. Yet, as this chapter in our life ends and the doors of li. H.S. el se behind lis, let ' s not feel sad mit thankful lor all the wonderful memories we ' ve shared, and the lasting friendships we ' ve made. There ' s so nmch to loo back on, where do we begin. 1 ' Remember our first day of school? We all shared the feelings of nervous excitement as we satin the the field house. And let ' s not forget all the help from the upperclassmen . . . go up to the fifth floor and take a left at the swimming pool! As we rang in the new year, the tragedy of the explosion of the space shuttle Challenger shocked us all. But 1986 was full of accomplishments as the Basketball, Baseball, and Softball teams won their G.B.L. titles, and the Basketball Cheerleaders made their way to the Nationals in Florida. W Then came our Sophomore year, and we were no longer the new kids. We welcomed Mr. Leo as our new principal and Mr. Gibson as submaster. Once again the Basketball Che erleaders made their way to the Nationals, and the soccer team had their best record ever. And who could torget our socials — the Christmas Dance and our Semi-Formal To kick off our Junior Year, the football team had us first winning season. The teachers went on strike for the first time, and instead of Mr. Leo wishing us a 1 lappy Thanksgiving, we all had a Happy Anniversary! On May 20th, we celebrated our Junior Prom at the Colonial Hilton and ended the year when we headed to Glouster for our Junior Picnic. Then it arrived! — Our Seni| 8 B The excitement ran through the hallways as we were dismissed on the third day of school because of fire in the Voc. in November we said goodbye to the Gipper and welcomed Mr. Bush as our new President. We also celebrated Miss Defeo ' s i 0th birthday when Mr. Leo announced it over the loudspeaker. And who could forget Paul Murphy? I think we ' d all be mil- lionaires if we all got a dollar every time they paged — , Paul Murphy to the office! Probably our most memorable experiences were spent in the Guidance office as Mr. Cecere sent out our transcripts and claimed he got No Respect! And how could anyone forget Mrs. O ' . After the holiday vacation and the wonderful rendition of We Wish You A Merry Christmas by the office secretaries, the year seemed to fly by. Our athletic division had a great year, but who will ever forget the Boy ' s Basketball game against Maiden. Mr. Leo threatened that the Voc would take apart a parked car, and Dr. Deidu was on the loose! Acceptance letters rolled in from colleges and our senior trips were something to be remembered — France, Bahamas! On May 5th we had our Senior Prom at the Marriott Longwharf and Class Day was shortly after. Before we knew Graduation was here! We were excited and sad as tears to our eyes. The Graduation parties gave us time to say our goodbyes. Remembering Everett High will be easy — I ' m sure. Those few years we ' ve shared how wonderful they were!!!!! f? I J f ■Jessica.
