Whittemore For his many years of loyal and faithful service to the many graduates of Everett High School. 8 Our History The opening scene of this drama takes place in the confines of that well-known house of learning, the Albert N. Parlin Jr. High School, in the year of nineteen hundred fifty- five. Participating is a well-known cast of Catherine Apruzzese, President; George Oliviero, Vice-Presi- dent; Jeraldine Russo, Secretary; Louise Corricelli, Treasurer; ably assisted by a mob-scene of about four hundred characters. With the coming of fall, our spirited class cheer- ed our victorious team on the field as well as on the court. A sturdy lot, a vibrant group, a cast of work- ers all! How delicaiely is handled the first real social on a Friday afternoon when we saw the smiling faces of our ninth-graders; as they danced ever so smooth- ly; and how improved they seemed to be as the year passes. Activity is the bye-word as is proved by the over-whelming response to the call for athletic teams, debating teams, band, orchestra, glee club, talent show, public speaking contest, and other var- ied activities. This all-too-short, action-filled act is hi-lighted by the awarding of the Parlin P to thirty-three of the worthy cast. As the curtain falls, the climax is reached with the entire cast being presented certifi- cates of achievement which grant them the privilege of carrying their play to a larger theater--Everett High- -OUR SCHOOL! Adjustment of the cast to its new environment in the Everett High School seems, at first, to be chaotic. Like unwanted children they wander about looking for an elevator, while being laughed at, scorned, and ridiculed. Gone is the dignity of its position in life. Gradually this class, like a ship on a stormy sea, seeks haven and guidance in its leaders. Once again it ' s Catherine Apruzzese as President, Ann Campbell as Vice-President, Tena Lawrence as Secretary and Damon Bradley as Treasurer. As an added feature to the leading players we find great- er representation is needed. Our entire cast rises to the call and elects to student council: Francis Vultaggio, Ann Collari, and Marie Senibaldi. The first taste of true unity comes in quick time as the class is represented on the football field by Giuliano, Evans, Michalski, and LePore. This is the first out- ward sign that the Class of ' 60 is truly needed and welcome. The scene of action passes to the gym where the first social of the year is held--the Sophomore Hop . Progress is shown throughout the year as these little sophomores gradually adjust themselves and show their abilities by performing in the band, or- chestra, Gilbert and Sullivan, and the Talent Show. As the year draws to a close, after what seems to be a dragged- out length of time, we see our class --a real THREAT to the upper classmen by thier scholastic, athletic, and social abilities. September again and we gaze at the cast which has grown into young ladyhood and young manhood. How they strut and lord it over those poor sopho- mores. How short is their memory in one brief year. This time Nina Chiarello is chosen President; June Talbot, Vice-President; Tena Lawrence, Se- cretary, and Grace Ffando, Treasurer. Marie Seni- baldi, Jeraldine Russo, Mary Capachetti and Joan Colombo are chosen as members of the student coun- cil. In the field of sports, Lepore, Giannino, Motroni, Barbaro, and numerous others are standouts. Our junior class was very active, participating in Drama- tic Club, Gilbert and Sullivan, Girls ' Glee Club, Lyceum, and many others. But to climax this won- derful year of football, basketball games, dances, assemblies, (and of course we musn ' t forget studies), the class of ' 60 presented its prom. This memor- able night will never be forgotten by those who at- tended. Richard Morello and Janet Tuovinen were chosen King and Queen. This marked the close of our junior year; and we could hardly wait for the biggest and greatest year to come. It seems only yesterday that this same group met in this same assembly hall for the purpose of homeroom distribution. The full forces of the re- alization that this is the last time does not strike this happy lot. To begin the year, we chose Richard Forestiere President: Dana Walsh, Vice-President; Carol Scanzillo, Secretary, and George Summers, Treas- urer. Representing us on the student council were: Brian Donnelly, Marie Senibaldi, Jeraldine Russo, Nina Chiarello and Mary Capachetti; who at once, swung into the task of preparing assemblies and functions to make this the biggest and the best year. Billy Anzivino is chosen Editor-in-Chief on the yearbook; ably assisted by Jackie Lee, Sally Saia, and Jean Mayo. Those old familiar faces of Giuliano, Centurino, Summers, Temple, Evans, Digby, Russo, Michalski, LaCourt, Lee, Gianino, Montroni, stars in the field 01 sports, really proved their great abilities. EHShas every reason to be proud of these boys. As for our new hockey team, well, it was fun! The Christmas danye with Giggie as Santa, the enter- taining Gilbert and Sullivan production, the Dramatic Club play, and of course the Talent Show packed full of members of our oh-so-talented class shall never be forgotten by any of us. And to give foreign in- trigue, let ' s add the Italian and French Club plays, also praise to the Spanish Club ' s Pinata Party for underpriviledged children! The Yearbook Dance was just great. Charlotte Dunbrack was chosen as Queen and Ursula Scarpellini, Nina Chiarillo, Angela DiDonato, Eileen Cardillo and Jeraldine Russo, were on the Queen ' s court. The old smoothies, Josephine Giacobbe and Brian Donnelly were our Waltz King and Queen. Withthe coming of April, so came Good Govern- ment Day. Joseph Lepore was chosen to represent Everett in the State House. Before we knew it, that long-awaited night arrived. The Senior Prom was held on April 29. It was a night of perfect enjoy- ment. And too quickly this last year of school passes on. How time does fly. Only yesterday it seems that we entered this play, and here tomorrow, is the future. Farewell classmates and actors all! May your future be just as bright as your past and may your Memories be always of the nice things and the best friends of t his your class of 1960. The Library Staff aids in acquainting the entire student body with the fundamentals of our library. And interest is created and encouraged among its members for the care of books, the shelving of books, and the charging of books to the various students. This group by no means adheres strictly to work at all times, but rather they have a social com- mittee which arranges good times and parties to compensate for the wonderful work done. Our officers were: Frances DiBenedetto, President: Phyllis Striano, Vice President; Marilyn Pierce, Secretary; and Audry Esposito, Treasurer. The various committees were: Decorating, New Books, Shelving, Finance, Periodicals, and Social. The social life consisted of a Christmas Party, Book Fair, and a wonderful Senior Fairwell Dinner. Frances DiBenedetto President 101 de Band The Everett High School Lyceum, under the direction of Thomas Sullivan, is the oldest organized group in the school. A vigorous training in the art of effective speaking was pur- sued this past year. Much practical experience and knowledge was acquired for those who participated in readings, discussion groups, and interclub debates. In addition to the annual Oratorical Contest and Boston College Prize Debate, which were anxiously waited for and treated with zeal, club members also participated in the Christmas assembly and inter-scholastic debating. For the first time in the Lyceum ' s history, a mock trial was presented in a sincere attempt to inform and entertain the students. CLUB OFFICERS PRESIDENT Stephen Glass VICE-PRESIDENT Kenneth Shostack SECRETARY Sandy Astuti TREASURER Cindy Burke Stephen Glass President 105 3vencfi CluS The Cercle Francais under the much appreciated and able leadership of Les Made- moiselles Ottaviano and Gureghian enjoyed one of its best season and certainly its most varied. Variety is the spice of life, so many say, and our French Club this year pursued many original ideas and projects that were new, and therefore entertaining, to those who partici- pated in them. Attendance at French movies and operas, dining at a French restaurant, a coffee hour, and a Christmas party highlighted the year. Talks on school and social life in France, French, music, and other phases of French life added a touch of culture, thus rounding out a well- balanced program. The meetings, including the saluting of our flag in French, and the singing of the Marseil- laise, were conducted almost entirely in the language, and games played were carried on in the same manner. Our club also took part in the Christmas assembly this year, singing several Cantiques de Noel and supplying a delightful bit of originality to the occasion. The year, on the whole, was quite successful, and again much thanks to our moderators. OFFICERS PRESIDENT--George Oliviero VICE-PRESIDENT--Joseph Lepore SECRETARY-TREASURER--Susan McCarthy The Spanish Club, under the guidance of Miss Mary Dorn, enjoyed the busiest year in its history. The leaders chosen to be our officers were: Pilar Confrades, President; Tena Lawrence, Vice-President; Pancho McGonigle, Treasurer; and Janie Burke, Secretary. On December 16, all the members brought joy and cheer to the youngsters at the Cardinal Cusing Center for Spanish Speaking People of Boston by holding a Pinata Party. After seeing what happiness ff ' these youngsters derived from this little gesture we knew that a great deal more could be done and so decided to have a clothing drive for this organization. The drive was a huge success, and even though it came in January, it made the Christmas season for us a great deal nicer. i Our part in the Christmas Assembly in the auditorium was an outstanding achievement and certainly was received with great favor . f llli by the student body. t t BiBl ' During the year we were fortunaie to have many guest speakers ilj ' i ' mi i attend our meetings. Mayor Crowley, an honorary member of the g - _ 1 group, spoke to us on his long stay in South America. Reverend Father %I.B;|lSl| William Donlon of Quincy and Reverend Father Frederick O ' Brien of (f %7 4i|[SP ' The Cardinal Cushing Center, as well as distinguished South American tm , - - Doctors from nearby hospitals enlivened our meetings with their in- j ' f • 3 te resting views on our Spanish speaking neighbors. On May 6 our annual Fiesta was held and this indeed was the hi light of the social season. The night of May 20 saw the seniors of the Club gather together for a final dinner and a farewell to our very happy days as members of The Everett High School Spanish Club. Our thanks go out to Miss Dorn for her tireless work and the giv- Pilar Confrades unstintingly to make us a happy lot. President Hasta la vista to all. 107 The Italian Club of Everett High School had one of its most successful years since it was organized in 1938. On December 3, 1959, the Club gave a reception to its new members. The featured speaker was Doctor Anthony DeVito of the Romance Language Department of Boston University. The members presented skits in Italian which were followed by a community sing of old and modern Italian songs. The annual Una Serata Italiana was presented before an audience of 600 on January 29, 1960. The seniors played a prominent part at this affair. Grace Rando, Rosemary Colameta, Diana Rosa, Jean Barbati, Marie Senibaldi and Jeraldine Russo showed they could act in a comedy skit named by popular demand Gina LoUobrigida . Neil Delia Plana, Joseph Mannetta, Frances Vultaggio, Tina Barassi, Mario Martin- ello, and Antonio Fabbrizio came through in the star fashion after wavering moments at rehearsals of the one act comedy Angenore L ' Indeciso . Carol Wilson, Jeanne DiNapoli, Joseph Travalini, James Thistle, Bernice Brioso taught the audience how to manage mothers-in-law in Maritiamo La Suocera . Carol Wilson and James Thistle certainly proved that Italian can be spoken with clarity and appeal even if one is not of Italian extraction. On February 25, 1960, the Italian Club decided to put its knowledge of Italian touseandvisitedtheltalianLiner, Conte Biancamano, which stopped at the Common- wealth Pier, Boston, Massachusetts. After practicing many Buon Giornos , and Ciao , we sang Arrivederci Conte . It was fun. In the early part of May we entertained our mothers. We know they love us, but we wanted to show them we love them. All in all, our Senior Year was lots of fun. ITALIAN CLUB OFFICERS PRESIDENT VICE-PRESIDENT SECRETARY TREASURER Grace Rando Richard Salemi Jeraldine Russo Mario Martinello ITALIAN CLUB COUNCIL Grace Rando President Corinne Raduazzo Nina Chiarello Georgianna Birarelli Marion DiTillio John Frassica Gerald De Vivo Joseph Travalini Larry Pione John Falzone Stephen Sutera Leonard Guarnera ram a The Everett High School Dramatic Club is composed of members of the Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Classes. In September we elected the following officers--President, Stephen Glass; Vice-Presi- dent, Beverly Ziff; Secretary, Erma Hudson; Treasurer, Constance D ' Agostino. The primary purpose of the Dramatic Club is to develop the pupil ' s expression and poise gained in the study of stage technique. A valuable secondary aim is the contribution to the pupil ' s culture through an appreciation of drama as a fine art. This year ' s main activity, with the exception of Drama Night, was a program of pantomines presented to the Friday Club. Drama Night sponsored annually by the Everett High School Dramatic Club presented a comedy in three acts Father ' s Been To Mars . Theplay was enacted at the Rockwood Auditorium on February 19, 1960 under the direction of Mrs. Mary H. DuVal, faculty coach of Dramatics. The cast included Stephen Glass, Eleanor Kidder, Cynthia Kassels, Victoria Fleishman, William Greenfield, Loretta Lush, Beverly Ziff, Elaine Evans, Judith Cordeau, and Howard Rosenblatt. Technician for the production was Charles Cardello. Business Manager was Erma Hudson; Assistant Business Manager, Constance D ' Agostino; tage Manager, Barry Levitt; Head Prompter, Ann CoUari. Steven Glass President 111 Squad SediSon Early in September, Coach Amerino Sarno and his able assistants, Ed Leo and Al Romboli, called Everett ' s first football practice. A flock of ten lettermen, led by Captains George Summers and Joe Guiliano, brightened the Crimson Tide ' s hopes for a successful season. We openedthe season with the Newton Tigers at their field. After a scoreless first quarter, the Big Red broke the scoring ice on a thirty yard aerial by Jim Evans to Charlie Barbaro who made a great circus catch and crossed the goal line for a six point lead. The try for a two point conversion failed. Later in this period an interception by Vin La Conte and a twenty five yard scamper put our stalwarts in the lead twelve to nothing. Again the two-point conversion failed. The second half proved disasterous for our boys. Nothing they did seemed to work in their favor. By virtue of a safety, a touchdown, and a one point conversion Newton trailed going into the final period by three points. In the last quarter we were unable to untrack ourselves and New- ton s cored again and nosed us out fifteen to twelve. Following this setback, we moved into Somerville the following week. Once again it was Everett out in front at the half by the score of fourteen to nothing. Jim Evans and Joe Guiliano scored for us. Unlike the week previous we did not flounder the second half, but rolled on to a decisive victory. The final score was Everett thirty five and Somerville nothing. Touchdowns were scored by Co-captain Guiliano (2), Co-captain Sum- mers, Evans, and Candarozzi. The third game was played in our own back yard with Quincy as our opponent. Quincy went off to a fast lead and with a two point conversion led eight to nothing. Everett was not to be outdone and Evans let fly a beautiful pass to Summers and he landed in the end zone. Buddy Centurino scooted over for the two points and the half ended in a deadlock. The thirdquarter was a slam-bang affair with neither team able to score. All the evidence pointed to a tie game until the last minute when Quincy let go with a long desperation pass which clicked and they came out on top by a score of fourteen to eight. This was a tough one to lose and we were the better team in every department but the scoring, and that is what counts. 115 The following week we set out to avenge a most humiliating defeat of the previous year at the hands of Arlington. This we did and with Jim Evans and Joe Guiliano galloping into the end zone we came out on top fourteen to six. Again we moved well, but not to our potential best. The Medford game was postponed from Saturday to Monday because of rain. The Crimson Tide looked like a ripple on a passi ve brook. Everett floundered, sputtered, and stalled at every turn. We went down to our worst defeat of the season twelve to nothing to a weak Medford Mustang team. The next encounter was with a powerful Weymouth team and we did a complete turn-about. Despite a torrential downpour which hampered both teams our patience was rewarded after three scoreless periods. In the final quarter Joe Guiliano gathered in a punt and slipped, slithered, and sloshed his way for fifty five yards and a big touchdown. Sophomore, Pete Nazzaro became a hero when he fooled everybody and scooted right end for the extra two points. On the next kick-off, a Weymouth boy gath- ered in the ball and lit out for pay-dirt ninety nine yards away. Our great line with Joe LaPore, Joe Michalski, and Dave Temple rose up and stopped the conversion and the game ended eight to six. This was a great win for us and it did bring out our true ability to rise up. After a postponed Nashua game we met the Golden Tornados of Maiden. Once again we were great in moving the ball at will, but never able to cross that last line. We outplayed Maiden in every department and were constantly in their territory. In the third period Maiden threw a simple screenpass, the Everett defender was flat-footed and the Maid- en boy raced sixty yards for a touchdown. This was the only time they were in our territory. The final score was a heartbreaking six to no- thing defeat. Our postponed game with Nashua was next and we journeyed to New Hampshire to meet the Granite State Champions. After a scoreless first period Joe Guiliano smashed over to climax a sixty yard drive. Jim Evans went over for the conversion and we led eight to nothing. Late in the same period, Nashua scored on a thirty yard pass but did not con- vert. Everett led a half-time eight to six. Mid-way in the third period, Jim Evans tossed to George Summers and again we scored. The con- version was missed. In the last three minutes of play we were on the way for another score when we fumbled on their ten yard line and Nashua re- covered. With time running out we felt pretty safe. Nashua passed to the fifty yard line complete and a time out. With time for one play re- maining, their quarter back reared back and let one fly into the end-zone andthere was a Nashua boy and not a soul from Everett. The conversion was good and they tied us up fourteen to fourteen. Thanksgiving Day and the final game with ancient rival Chelsea. The air was bitter, the field soaking after three days of continual downpour, and a good Chelsea team. Things looked rather dismal. After a scoreless first period our warriors began to roll. Evans rolled out and rolled around end for a T.D. Charlie Barbaro grabbed a pass for the two point conversion. George Summers snared a pass and landed in the mud for another six points. Chelsea came back and scored six but we went off the field at the half out in front by a score of fourteen to six. In the second half, Jungle Jim Evans again tossed to Charlie Barbaro and he went over, muddied but happy. Joe Guiliano closed out his career with a great spurt and scored the final marker of the day Chelsea scored in the final moments, but who cared. The final was Everett twenty eight, Chelsea twelve. In the final summation ours was a difficult season to judge. We were a big question mark at times and proved it by blowing hot and cold. We had a good willing crowd of boys and each gave his best. We have been very proud of them in defeat and victory, e know the bitter and the sweet will stand us in good stead and will serve to make us bettermen inthefuture. To all those seniors not mentioned before; Jerry Russo, Dana Walsh, Jack Digby, Steve La Court, Bill Anzivino, Jack Lee, Joe Folio, and Joe Guiliano, you did a swell job. Tackle life as you tackled on the football field and you are bound to come out on top. To Mr. Sarno and his assistants, continue on in giving the boys of Everett High the true measure of sportsmanship and fair play as you have in the past. 1 16 Season The outlook for basketball at Everett High was very bright with the prospects of five returning lettermen from the State Championship team of the previous year. Coach Putman felt that the team as a whole would do well, but possibly not up to the same calibre of last year due to the loss of two key men by graduation. His prediction came true. In our two games with Chelsea, Everett dominated the play at all times. In the first joust, Gianino, Motroni, and Russo set a fine example by scoring in the double figures in a fifty-eight to thirty- eight win. Summers and Motroni continued the good work in the second encounter which we walked away with by a score of sixty to forty-seven. Somerville, our league nemesis, dumped us twice in league play in no uncertain fashion by scores of seventy-six to fifty-four and eighty five to sixty-two. The all-round ability and height of this fine team was not to be denied at any time. In the first game, Gianino and motrone were outstanding for our losing cause, while in the second encounter, Evans, Summers, and Motroni helped the cause in our losing endeavors. Quincy was next and we won a close one by the score of forty- nine to forty- seven. Again it was Summers, and Giannino, and Russo who saved the day for the Crimson. In the second game the tables were reversed and, despite the great play of Summers and Motroni, we came out on the short end of a sixty-three to sixty- one score. 1 18 We licked Medford in two very good ball games by scores of sixty-nine to fifty-eight and seventy-five to sixty-eight. Russo was top man in the first outing and dumped in twenty-seven points and followed it up with twenty-three points the next time these two teams vied. Lowell showed very little as far as opposition was concerned and, with the entire bench being cleared, we won both games by identical scores, seventy-six to fifty-seven. Gianino and Russo were top men in the first game, whereas Russo and Motroni showed the way in the second encounter. In our first game with Weymouth we had a very bad night and they were as hot as a three dollar pistol. They dumped us in a very unceramonious manner by a score of sixty-seven to fifty-one. Summers and Gianino were top scorers but by no means were the other boys dropping them in. In the second game, we managed to avenge our defeat and we emerged triumphant by a score of seventy-three to sixty-five. Summers popped in twenty three and Jim Evans broke away from his steady ten and twelve points per game to garner eighteen. Revere offered more opposition in the league this year than they have in a long time and we had troubles winning the first one fifty- eight to fifty. In the second game we also were aware that we had been in a ball game even though we won this one seventy-five to sixty-three. Russo and Motroni each managed to get twenty points apiece in this one. North Quincy had very little to offer and we won both games in easy fashion, the first seventy-one to fifty-nine and the second seventy-three to fifty-one. Russo, Evans, and Motroni were high scorers in the first game, while Summers and Gianino led the way in the second. Maiden has been the team to watch in the past couple of years. This club has been built with an eye to the future and this was the year. They blasted our stalwarts by an eighty-eight to fifty-nine score in our first outing. We did better in the second, but not well enough to win, as they dumped us again by a score of sixty-eight to fifty-three. Russo and Gianino managed to be high for Everett in the first encounter, while Motroni eased in twenty-one points in our second loss. Our season record showed six losses and twelve wins. We were clearly out classed, but not out gamed in our two losses to Some rville and Maiden. By our record we were invited to partici- pate in the Tech Tourney. In our preliminary round we met and conquered a good Lynn Classical Team by the score of seventy-five to sixty-four. The entire ball team played a fine game and to each goes credit for a job well done. By our win we went into the quarter finals and we again faced our old rival, Somerville. In the first half we looked like the best team in the entire tournament and went off the floor of Boston Garden with a seven point lead. In the second half the height and superior bench of Somerville wore us down and we were eliminated from future com- petition by a score of sixty-eight to fifty-five. We have beenproudof ourteamandof our Coach. Our memor- ies will always be of the fun and excitement we had in rooting for our team, win or lose. To all who made those long winter nights so enjoyable we say thanks and God speed. SediSon For the first time in a great many years, hockey has returned to Everett High School. With a group of completely inexperienced boys we could hardly have any great hopes for a season of success. However, by means of a great deal of hard work and determination by Coach Henry Schlegel and a very willing group of boys, our re-introduction to the sport, in a very good league, was truly to the credit of all who participated. We may not have won all our games but we were ai all times trying. The league consisted of eight teams and, with the exception of Chelsea, all had been in action for some years. All games were played at the Boston Arena and each team faced each other twice. Our opening game, with equally inexperienced Chelsea, saw ragged but in- teresting hockey played in a style that kept the spectators constantly on the edge of their chairs. Early in the first period, Capt. Binky Donnelly, assisted by John LaCorcia, split the defense and took a pass and drove home our first goal. In the second period Chelsea roared back and tied it up. Everett was still hot and Cisco Ruszkowski took a beautiful pass from Chris Snook and drilled home the second counter for the Crimson. Again in this period Nicolai stole the puck, drove down the ice and let go with a backhander and made it three to one in our favor. In the third period, Chelsea started playing a little better and before we knew what had happened they came back and scored two goals to tie it up at three all. As the game was coming to a close, and with twenty seven seconds left to play, Capt. Don- nelly again came to the front with a beautiful solo and let drive with the winning goal for Everett ' s first win. The following week we met a very strong and experienced Don Bosco team and showed the effects of not having played together long enough. Our boys tried as hard as possible but to no avail as we came out on the short end of a five to one score. 121 Next Maiden was our opponent. This was a nip and tuck game all the way to the last three minutes. Maiden did score in the first and second period but we were just missing and being robbed by the miraculous saves of their goalie. Then it happened, we fell apart in those last three minutes in our anxiety to press down the ice and they came up with three goals to win five to nothing. Quincy came to the Arena with a record of having speed and finesse and this was all too true. They skated circles around us and we fell before this onslaught be a score of eight to nothing. By this time things were becoming a little monotonous and our lads began to show improvement, e met North Quincy and seemed to at last begin to play better as a unit. All night long it seemed that Everett was taking shots at their goal and all could be stopped and we again came out losing two to nothing. Christopher Columbus came next and they were in top spot in the league. We were unable to cope with their speed, endurance, and top flight style of play and went home on the short end six to nothing. Revere was our final opponent in the first half of league play and the outcome of this game was also to our dislike. We have improved but have not jelled in to a formidable team unit as yet. We lost by a score of four to nothing but not until the final whistle blew did we stop. Again Chelsea was our rival in the second time round and we felt this was one team we could beat. Overconfidence may have played some part in this game but they had improved also. All through the game the lead went back and forth and with Chelsea leading in the final minutes Nicholai sent home the tieing goal for Everett and we wound up a stalemate three to three. Don Bosco was picked to beat us quite handily but evidently they had not count- ed on the Everett spirit. In a hard fought game in which two players were ejected, Donnelly, Ford, and Ruszkowski teamed up to aid in a winning cause and we dump- ed the favorite two to one in a thriller. After this victory we were intent on setting the league on fire only to have Maiden quinch the flame by a score of four to two. With due respect to Maiden, a team is pretty lucky whentheir goals are scored by having the puck roll down your goaly ' s back and into the goal. This is some of the type of bad luck we have had. Quincy again defeated us by a score of four to nothing. At least we had im- proved enough to cut the previous score in half. North Quincy turned around and treated us in the same fashion as their sister- school and we fell victim to them three to nothing. Again we looked good for most of the game and then fell apart at the end. Christopher Columbus was our next to the last game and this one we again dropped to the league champion by a score of five to nothing. We wound up the season against Revere and the score tells nothing. Between fights and disqualifications we had a bad afternoon and Revere trimmed us by a score of eight to one. To all those who participated in our first year of the renewal of hockey at Everett we take off our hats. You were not champs nor near-champs, but you certainly played the game in the true Everett Spirit of never-say-die. Good luck. 122 dde Schedule Everett vs Lowell Medford vs Everett Everett vs Somerville Maiden vs Everett Everett vs Revere Quincy vs Everett Everett vs Chelsea Lowell vs Everett Everett vs Medford Maiden vs Everett Everett vs Somerville Revere vs Everett Everett vs Quincy Chelsea vs Everett Waldo Dragoiie Coach 123 fie Scdedule Medford Somerville Revere Chelsea Maiden rs Saint John ' s Relays Belm ont Relays State Meet New England Meet John Killian Coach 1 24 1.
