THIS IS THE STORY OF THE CLASS OF ' 58 ' Step right up folks and hear about the greatest little class on earth! Through Gate Number One we see the setting for the Freshmen year, which got this class off to a bang. This scene ie directed by such able leaders as President Thomas Lee, Vice Pre sident Elaine Martini, Secretary Joan D ' Orlando and Treasurer Tony DiCesare. Here we find football strong- men such as Giggie and Squatrito, and the tall men of basketball, La Bella and McCarthy. Just a minute folks, we can ' t forget those talented actors Binnie Levine and Bob Sullivan and of course, our fluent debaters Alan Parker and Malta Robkoff. As a small example of the greatness of this class we are proud to say that thirty -five of our number received that very hard to attain Parlin P. Now folks, as we move on through Gate Number Two we find the setting has changed. The Sophomore year is set in that colossal building known as Everett High School. Ahh yet, our class is a little bewildered, but pulling through in our usual fighting spirit, we elect as our directors. President Thomas Lee, Vice President Ellen S amp s o n , Secretary Arlette Roselli, and Treasurer Nancy King. This dynamic class sends DeVivo, Elder and Sullivan to School Council. We find athletic prowess in such people as La Bella. Borrelli, cind Ciulla, the football players, and Gray and Simons the basketball players. Singers? Of course ! You ' ll find them in Gilbert and Sullivan ' s Gondoliers . Our acting ability is brought forth by Alan Parker in much Ado about Nothing. Through Gate Three we find the setting the same but our class moves confidently and carries out stupendous feats. Because they directed our previous scene so well, we again elect Lee, President, Sampson Vice President, Roselli, Secretary, and King Treasurer. We see that Martini now joins DeVivo, Elder and Sullivan on School Council. Joel Kornitsky wins a Debating Prize, not to mention the Havard Book. Drajna Night presented a technicolor foreign play called Lute Song. starring such Comedians as Henderson, King, Levine zmd Sullivan. In football sharing the spotlight with his team mates, we see outstanding lineman, Barrelli. With the conclusion of the football season, other spirited athletes come forth to participate in basketball, baseball, and track. This is the class that helped con- fiscate the Christmas tree, made the Talent Show a hit, and put forth the brightest formal of t h e season. The Junior Prom under Chairman Martini and Secretary King ' s direction. We find this class also presents, Possession an English comedy at the Drama Festival. What a gala musical is Gilbert and Sullivan ' s H.M.S. Pinafore starring DeVivo, Bradford, and Roselli. Now, as in other scenes our versatile class proudly sends forth several talented musicians to the All-State Music Conference. Now as we approach Gate Number Four leading to the big tent we can sense from the excite- ment that this is going to be a tremendous ending to an outstanding class. Immediately we see that the Senior Class is under the leadership of President La Bella, Vice President Borrelli, Secretary Roselli, Treasurer Keegan. Representing us in School Council are Elder, Bennett, Sampson, O ' Donnell, and McCarthy. Our football teEim comes front and centre with Co-captain Borrelli and McCarthy leading other outstanding members. As for the football season, well, we had fun! Dubbling along, but not yet in the spot light we can make out the basketball team of Gray, Ellis, Simons, King, Papa, and Tannyhill. The show isn ' t over yet folks. Before you leave you will see a really big Christmas Dance, the roman- tic Senior Prom, the entertaining Gilbert and Sullivan production, the suspenseful Dramatic Club play, and of course, the Talent Show, packed full of members of our oh - so talented class. Just to add a bit of foreign intrigue we may add an Italian aind French play. We can ' t forget to tip our hats to the people who have made our narration possible, the Year Book Staff. In June, 1958, our show will travel the tenative road of life. From all past performances, we can only predict success for every mernfeer of our cast. fl j |i gllil HlCSU. 24
