J'OA WOhd We, the Class of 1966, are very proud to present this thirtieth volume of the WARRIOR. This year's theme is TIME. We chose it because this year marks the beginning of the second decade in this building. TIME MARCHES ON! With this in mind, we have tried to capture all the outstanding events of the past year—all of its joy and sadness, its gaity and seriousness. We hope that, as you leaf through this book, you will remember all the friends you have made and the good times you have had. Just as this year has begun a second decade here on the hill, it also marks an ending and another beginning. The school will continue—but under the new name of EVERETT AREA HIGH SCHOOL. We want to thank our class advisers, teachers, administrators, and everyone else who have made our years at EVERETT SOUTHERN HIGH SCHOOL both pleasurable and worthwhile. —The Editors Steve King, Editor Linda Crawford, Co-Editor Two

9n (D diaxiion Frances L. Cullen The Class of 1966 dedicates this yearbook to MISS FRANCES L. CULLEN. Miss Cullen, who was graduated from Catawba College, South Carolina, with a Bachelor of Arts degree, has served on the Everett faculty for a greater number of years than any other teacher now actively employed. (We won't reveal her age by giving the date when she first came to Everett.) Since she has served in many capacities during her tenure here, she has experienced the growing pains which the school has endured to reach its present status. Her contribution to the school and to its citizens has been great. Miss Cullen, who commutes daily from her home at Saxton, now teaches Junior English. She is head adviser to our class and adviser to the Senior Tri-Hi-Y Club. She also serves on the National Honor Society Committee. It has taken us but a year to begin to appreciate the patience and understanding extended to us by this dedicated teacher. She knows every Junior and Senior by name and personality and has a kind word for all. She is never too busy to refuse help and willingly stops to answer a question or listen to a problem. Her advice is always good. She challenges her classes to do their best and sends hundreds of students into their Senior year with a sound foundation in English grammar and a growing appreciation for literature. We salute you, Miss Cullen. Four
