JaaiLty Mr. Larimer, Mrs. Lohman, Mr. Palumbo, Miss Hess CLAUDE F. LARIMER is Head of the Social Studies Department and Attendance Director. He instructs all Seniors in problems of democracy and economics. He wends homeward to Ebensburg every Friday evening during the school term. Mr. Larimer is well-known for his hobby—coin collecting—and has quite a valuable collection. He was graduated from Ship-pensburg State College. MRS. ORILEE LOHMAN, a graduate of Westminster College and Pennsylvania State University, teaches vocal music. She also directs both Junior and Senior Choruses. For relaxation Mrs. Lohmaji, who resides in Bedford, likes to water ski, bowl, read, and sew. She also dotes on her pet cat. A graduate of Concord College, ARTHUR J. PALUMBO teaches general science to all Freshmen and is adviser to the Audio-Visual Club. A native of Windber, Mr. Palumbo is married and has one boy and one girl. His hobbies include coin collecting and watching television. As a member of the Coaching Staff, he assists with football and wrestling. The adviser to the Senior F. H. A. Club is MISS BARBARA HESS, who teaches home economics. She is a graduate of Indiana State College. Miss Hess, whose home is located at Broad Top, enjoys baking, interior decorating, constructing clothes, and going home. Ten

Jaailhj. Mr. Shaffer, Mr. Smith, Mr. Browell, Mrs. Barndollar DANIEL D. SHAFFER, JR., is a graduate of Lock Haven State College. He is our driver education instructor. A member of the coaching staff, he serves as Head Basketball Coach and assists with football. He is an adviser to the Junior Class and the Varsity Club. Mr. Shaffer is married and has two sons. His hobbies include hunting and fishing. An alumnus of Shippensburg State College, ARTHUR C. SMITH has also studied at Loyola College and the University of Maryland. He teaches chemistry, physics, and mathematics. Mr. Smith serves as adviser to the Sophomore Class, the Student Council, and the Radio Club. He is married and lives at Hopewell with his wife and three children. J. CURTIS BROWELL received his degrees from Juniata College and Pennsylvania State University. He is in charge of all classes in special education. Mr. Browell, who enjoys farming as a hobby, lives near Hopewell. He is married and has eight children. MRS. MARY BARNDOLLAR, a graduate of Shippensburg State College, teaches English 12 and serves as Head of the English Department. She is adviser to the Senior Class, the Parrot staff, and the Press Club. Mrs. Barndollar lives in Everett with her husband and one son. She enjoys bird watching and weather forecasting as her main hobbies. Nine

; Jcuuulhj Mr. Gochnour, Mr. Clark, Mr. Snyder, Mr. Orndoff DWANE F. GOCHNOUR is Athletic Director and Head of the Physical Education Department. He teaches health and physical education. Mr. Gochnour is a graduate of West Chester State College and has studied further at the University of Maryland and Pennsylvania State University. Residing near Everett, he enjoys travelling and hunting in addition to all kinds of sports. PAUL W. CLARK teaches vocational agriculture and serves as adviser to the Senior F. F. A. Club. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Clark lives on his own farm near Everett with his wife, daughter, and two sons, both of whom are students at Bob Jones University. Hunting, fishing, and repairing musical instruments are the hobbies of Band Director FRED A. SNYDER. He also teaches instrumental music classes and music theory and directs the Dance Band. Mr. Snyder is the father of four children, two of whom are teachers. He has attended the University of Youngstown and Pennsylvania State University. His home is Bedford. RALPH C. ORNDOFF is an instructor in vocational agriculture and is adviser to the Junior F. F. A. Club. He also serves as an adviser to the Junior Class. Married and the father of one daughter, Mr. Orndoff is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. Eleven
