A little fright- ened, but still proud, we enter our first year of the Junior High. We copies our programs and spent most of the day gettingsicquainte Ah! Our first vacation, Labor Day. y - Marjorie Flom reviewed her interesting experiences as a delegate tot,he National Convention of Student Councils at Washington, D.CJ we enjoyed our first lyceum number, David Edward Starry in Uwest Indian Witchcraft.W Because the main water pipe burst, we were dismissed at two o'cloc We didn't mind that at all. Today the two hour movie, Hinna and the King of Siam,W held out interest. 1 . The Shrimplins, magicians, entertained us with their amazing deceptions. ' Aren't we lucky! Today we have two movies, HA Surprise from Santa and UThe Late George Apley.N y The ninth grade speech class devoted some of their time to present to us a Christmas program. After enjoying a long Christmas vacation, here we 'are ready to pitch into our work.' , - George Esslinger informed us of the heroic deeds done by dogs in the war. The film Wworld Series of l9L8H was today's highlight. Mr. August Neubauer and Hrs. Smilanich came to school to interest us in A H work, ' A Some of the antics of electrility were interpreted to us by Bob r Brown. The girls aswvell as the boys enjoyed the thrilling feature movie, NSmith of Minnesota, F a story of Bruce Smith, an all-American football player. School was dismissed early in order that we could witness the Region 7 hockey tournament. We roared at the hilarious doings of Laurel and Hardy in HA Chump at Oxford.N One of the few times we enjoyed our history was while seeing NHeroes of the Alamo.W All who attended the concert presented by the University of Minnesota band thought it was excellent. All of us enjoyed the thrilling adventures of nCaptain Fury.' d k
