Ioreword In portraying Evanston Township High School during the year 1937-38, we have departed from the usual method of recording student life. Instead of the posed groups and formal accounts of their activities, we have adopted the camera-study method of showing E.T.H.S. students at work and at play and the informal narrative for relating the outstanding events oi the year-especially those that per- tain to the seniors. Naturally we have not covered many of the subjects used in the conventional yearbook, but we have been able to give recognition to many activities that have been long neglected by the traditional publica- tion. We sincerely believe that this emphasis on the school as a whole, rather than on the individual student or particular groups, is in keeping with the democratic ideals upheld by Evanston Township High School.
