H. S. Homecoming highlighted the year's student council responsibilities. ln close cooperation with the senior class, plans were made for the snake dance, election and crowning of the royalty, and the dance. John Gerrard, John Spencer, and Bob Starke represented EHS at the state con- vention where they gained innumerable ideas and a large measure of enthusiasm. The council conducted asurvey among the students on school activities. Although the student body wanted more assemblies they weren't willing to produce them and participate. The council seriously con- sidered its efficiency and purpose to be an instrument of the student body.

ational Honor Society Set high goals! No doubt the members of the Uinta Chapter of the National Honor Society of Secondary Schools did in scholar- ship, leadership, service and character. The twenty-six members of this organi- zation are the highest scholastically in their various classes and are willing to always work to the best of their abilities to try to strive for excellence. These members consider their member- ship in the National Honor Society one of the most important accomplishments, and truly an honor in their high school careers. They feel a satisfaction and a sense of comple- tion in having succeeded in reaching their goals. Whether dusting the trophy case, or striving to set the pace at EHS, the members are making their organization well known, as well as pointing up the significance of being a member of the National Honor Society.
