= : hi I EVANS HIGH SCHOOL EVANS, LOUISIANA EVANS FAGLE 1977 2 3 Stay ree . . . Z)n faR M FUTUP Serica THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR BOYS STUDYING VOCATIONAL AGRICULTURE • ♦ ♦ leAterclay We are proud to present and dedicate this annual to a fine lady who has contributed many hours of her own time to help each of us progress into high school. She has sponsored the Jr. 4-H, helped initiate new clubs such as Les Amis, and contributed her time and talents toward fund-raising in various clubs. Through her patience, diligence, and understanding, she has helped us conquer many problems that we thought were unconquer- able. Because of these and many more reasons, we cannot dedicate this yearbook to anyone more deserving than Mrs. Virginia Midkiff. 6 1977 3) e d • i c a t ♦ i o n STAFF: Asst. The 1976-1977 cMnnual As editor of the 1976-1977 yearbook I would like to ex- press my gratitude to Mr. Hinson, Mr. Dayton, and most of all to the annual staff members who worked hard to make our annual the greatest. I hope you enjoy it, and the memories it brings. Annice Fairley Editor-in-Chief 7 There will be memories of students seeking to master the demands of a strong curriculum, athletic and literary competition, and the satisfaction of achieving goals when at times we thought they were unattainable. Our students have the privilege of living in the most exciting, challenging, and chang- ing period in man’s history. As time passes and the world changes, may each of you go forward with self-confidence knowing that your parents, church, and school have pre- pared you well. May I wish for each of you much success and to every student, employee, and patron of Evans High School my sincere appreciation for your kindness and cooperation this school year. Sincerely, Sammy L. Hinson, Principal I wish to commend the annual staff and sponsor for their contributions and efforts involved in compiling and editing this yearbook. Many of the moments which we shall forever treasurer will be remembered each time we open this book. With the passing of the Bicentennial Anniversary of our great country, we must now direct our efforts toward developing an even greater America. The accomplishments of this goal can be achieved by each of us striving to take full advantage of the wonderful opportunities that are offered to us daily in our schools, our homes and our communities. The many tine accomplishments that have been recorded in this outstanding year- book are evidence of your contributions toward achieving this goal. You are to be commended for each of them. May these only be the beginning steps you have taken toward numerous future accomplishments. My very best wishes to you for much success and happiness is your future endeavors. 9 C.
