Editor EDITOR’S MESSAGE It has been an honor for me to serve as the editor of the 1967-68 “Evans Eagle ' It took much hard work and a good, dependable staff to make the annual what it is! I hope, that always, this annual will bring back warm and happy thoughts of your years at Evans High School. Now, the sponsor, staff and I would like to present “THE EVANS EAGLE. Administration Editors Bonnie Willis Gale Harvey Brenda Harralson Sondra Stevison Business Manager Assistances Beverly Wile man Elementary Editors High School Mgr. Club Editor Bobby Allardyce Larry Thompson Truitt Keel Lewis Brinkley Eddie Tilley NOIIYHISINWaV Curtis Bradshaw, Superintendent Of Schools Roland Mitcham, School Board Member SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE F riends: I am sure that if any of you had the opportunity to choose the time you would live in, you could not have selected a more exciting period than we are in now, A very few years ago none of us dreamed that man would circle the earth in 90 minutes, prevent polio, make a closeup pictorial record of the moon and Mars, send television pictures through the air or alter the educational processes. We know it is necessary that we change education to keep abreast of the times and meet the demands of our modern society. This yearbook highlights some of the changes, and gives you the student a keepsake of the most endearing period of your life. I want to commend the students and faculty for your excellent work in de- veloping this attractive and informative annual. It will become more valuable to you in the years ahead, I wish to extend warmest personal regards to each person represented in this yearbook. Sincerely, Curtis Bradshaw, Superintendent, Vernon Parish Schools PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE To the student body and faculty of Evans High School: Congratulations to the Eagle Staff, their sponsor and to the many individuals who have made contributions toward this project. Students will derive much pleasure from the 68 Annual in the years to come. The main purpose of this year book is to identify the many activities and programs carried on while you attend Evans High School. The administration and faculty are sincerely hopeful that this book may serve you in the years to come as remembrance of your school days, and of the fellowship with the students and faculty which you have enjoyed at Evans. To the graduation class of 68, congratulations to the completion of your work and may I extend my best wishes for your future success. Sincerely yours, Arvil Harvey, Principal Adele Stanley B. S. N.
