We, the students of the AnnualStaff, proudly dedicate this year's annual to a man whom we have all learned to love and appreciate, because of his friendliness and willingness to help both student and teacher anyway that he possibly can. We, the student body and faculty of this school, join in wishing Mr. Tommie Craft many happy years to come. The Annual Staff This yearbook presents many of the activities of the school in a very interesting and informative way. It records people and events not merely in terms of the observable in the classroom and at recreation, but it also reveals much of the deeper meaning that high school education and training can have in the lives of boys and girls. It is my opinion that this publication will do a great deal to build a good esprit de corps binding together not only the student body and school per- sonnel, but the community as well. Congratulations for having achieved many worth- while accomplishments as reflected in this annual. With every good wish, I am Sincerely, Curtis Bradshaw, Superintendent Vernon Parish Schools Roland Mitcham, The newly elected school board member of Ward three. Vernon Parish School Board Members To the Students of Evans High School: Congratulations to the Eagle Staff, their sponsor and to the many in- dividuals who have made contributions toward this project. Students will derive much pleasure from the '61 Eagle Production in years to come. As you look back upon your 1960-61 school days, may you remember with enjoyment the good times you have had with your friends, and recall with satisfaction the profitable hours you have spent in the classroom. May you resolve to try even harder in the future, to make every min- ute of your school years count, in order to obtain success in life. My best wishes go with each one.
