DEDICATION To MRS. MATTIE DAVIS we respectfully and sincerely dedicate the I960 edition of THE EVANS EAGLE. For her thirty-four years of service as fourth grade teacher, we offer this tribute in appreciation for her helpfulness and friendliness. The Annual Staff iJr J in k? k ;s WTrS ADMINISTRATION r SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE This school yearbook reveals much more than a pictorial record of school activities. It records school progress and the deep meaning that school associations and friendships have in the lives of our young people. This yearbook shows an excellent record of performance with a balance of classroom and recreational activities. Let us think of these accomplishments as steps on our way to the highest ideals in our democratic society, where we are privileged to work and play together. May we all realize that no organization equals a purposeful school community in its promise for better things to come. My best wishes to each student represented in this book and to each person having a part in its publication. Sincerely, Curtis Bradshaw, Superintendent Vernon Parish Schools Left to right: N. W.
