To a helpful and understanding teacher, who has long deserved the honor for all her hard work, we wish to dedicate THE EVANS EAGLE. In all her years of faithful service never has there been anyone who was more worthy than Mrs. Knight. She has been of service to Evans High School in many ways, and we wish there was more we could do to ex- press our thanks for all she has done to help Evans High School become a better and more outstanding school. PRINCIPALS MESSABC To the students of Evans High School: Congratulations to the Eagle Staff, their Sponsor and the many people who have made contributions to this annual. The administration and faculty are sincerely hopeful that this book may serve for many future years to vivify, by print and picture, the experience which all school boys and girls cherish in retrospect. How glorious were the happy years of fellowship, the priceless years of training in citizenship enjoyed at Evans High School! They leave a trail of beauty though they may open into a chaotic world and anuncertain future. To make those years live again in the hearts of those who came this way, we hopefully dedicate this 1959 edition of The Evans Eagle. Sincerely, ARVIL HARVEY f s SCHOOL HIGH Arvil Harvey B. S. - SU M. We live a day and the day is gone. We live a year and that year is gone. A year of school, fun and activities fade and are soon forgotten. In this annual we, the annual staff and Mrs. Stanly, have tried to record the progress and activities of Evans School in such a way that this may leave true memories of this year of 1958-59.
