The baseball team of 1953 had a very successful season under their coach, Prank Adarnczyk. Coach had a Very well balanced ball club with a capable perforiner in every position. The boys rolled through their section with out a defeat and then entered the W.P.l.A.L. play- offs. They defeated their first three playoff opponents to enter the finals aqainst Mclieesport. The boys played a very hard fought qameg but when the smoke cleared, Mclieesport had won the championship qame, 9 to 7. We should be very proud of our feats in baseball since it is just a new sport in our school. lllf VARSITY Eillll swim 5 QI Kay Barkley, Drk Spencer, Bob Martcurger, Mr. Casndcllar, Disk Kennedy, Harlygn Agnew, Pat Davison. Tradition was broken this year as the club 'purchased red iackets instead of the usual blueg however, they kept the traditional blue in the sweaters. The club makes its money for the jackets and sweaters by sponsoring dances after the basketball games and running the pop machine, located in the lower hall. .wy I Mr. Cashdollar, our faculty adviser, has given us much needed help.
