The baseball team of 1953 had a very successful season under their coach, Prank Adarnczyk. Coach had a Very well balanced ball club with a capable perforiner in every position. The boys rolled through their section with out a defeat and then entered the W.P.l.A.L. play- offs. They defeated their first three playoff opponents to enter the finals aqainst Mclieesport. The boys played a very hard fought qameg but when the smoke cleared, Mclieesport had won the championship qame, 9 to 7.
