DEDICA TI O
Mr. And Mrs. John Rabold
john and Naomi Rabold have been a part of the Evangelical Con-
gregational School of Theology family since its very beginning. In
1953 they moved into rooms in the main building, which was then
being renovated for the home of the theological seminary. Before
that, for many years john had held a responsible position with the
R. C.A. Company in Lancaster.
Coming to the School of Theology as Custodian, john held this
demanding relationship for seventeen years, until the fall of 1970,
when he retired because of physical reasons. During these years he
had charge of the physical care of the grounds and buildings. For
most of this period he and his wife resided in a trailer located to the
rear of the main building. They are well remembered by faculty and
students of the seminary for their interest in the comfort and progress
of the ones belonging to the School of Theology family.
Naomi Rabold will be long remembered as the faithful organist in
the chapel services of the seminary. She was at the console for every
service and occasionally led services herself. This she did very
competently, for she was also the Class Leader, a Sunday School
teacher, and the Lay Delegate of the local Zion Evangelical Con-
gregational Church. She also held high office in the Lay Delegates
Association of the East Pennsylvania Conference of the denomination.
For their sincere dedication to the work of the Master as it is
centered in the School of Theology, for their many prayers offered
for the needs of the seminary family, for their earnest example in
living the Christian life, and for their expressions of encouragement
and faith to their co-laborers, we gratefully thank God for the lives
of john and Naomi Rabold, and pray God's richest blessings upon them'
as they continue to serve I-lim in their years of retirement.
