COMM EN CEMEN T SPEAKER DR. ROBERT J. LAMONT Dr. Robert J. Lamont is a native of Philadelphia. I-le received his higher education at Maryville College, Princeton Seminary, Mt. Airy Lutheran Seminary, and Waynes- burg College. The Th. D., D.D., and L.l-LD. were granted to him by Waynesburg College, Maryville College, and Geneva College. l-le is an ordained Presbyterian minister, having served the First Presbyterian Church, Darby, Pa., and the Narbeth Presbyterian Church, Narbeth, Pa. as pastor, before coming to his present pastorate, the First Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh, Pa., in 1953. He is a member of the General Council of the General Assembly of the United Presbyterian Church in the U. S.A. I-Ie is a member of the Advisory Council of the American Bible Society, and of the Board of Trustees of Princeton Theological Seminary, as Well as of several colleges. In 1969 he was awarded the Man of the Year in Religion Award by the Pittsburgh junior Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Lamont has been a Professor in the School of Theology of Temple University, Philadelphia, Pa. Over one hundred young people have gone into the ministry and mission field from the churches where he has served.
