a :l Lois Larsen Enthroned as Queen Students gathered at the chilly Park Central Square Friday, Oct. 15, to view the annual coronation of Evan- gel's Homecoming Queen. Dressed in lacy southern belle cos- tumes, the candidates: Denise Hess, Mary Hong, Lois Larsen, Jan Couch, and Vickie Kousgaard were escorted to the music of First Love. The long-awaited climax occurred when Lois Larsen, senior music major, was crowned by the 1975-'76 Home- coming Queen, Debbie Haines. -. Parade Attraets Warm-Blooded Cro d Although the temperature dipped into the low 30's, loyal students and inter- ested Springfieldians gathered on curbs to watch the Saturday morning parade. Floats, constructed for competition the previous night by various dorms, were a large segment of the downtown pro- cession. These structures focused upon the theme, Memories of Days For- gotten, with the first place prize being awarded to the float built by K2N and W1N. The Homecoming court, select officials, cheerleaders, and local bands also joined in the annual event.
