The functions of the dean in- cluded the organization and manage- ment of the curriculum, the composition and publication of the college catalogue, research of the institution, academic counsel with students, and preparation of class schedules and faculty assign- ments. McTeer directed the activities of the Department of Languages, Literature, and Communications, Department of Social Studies, Department of Business and Economics, Department of Science and Mathematics, Department of Biblical Studies, Department of Education and Behavior, and Department of Fine Arts.
