She has leff buf seven of our forfy-eighf sfafes unexplored. Mrs. Esfernaux faughf biology in fhree ofher cify high schools before coming fo Evander Childs. Mrs. Esfernaux exfends fhis fhoughf fo fhe class of '56: To fhine ownself be frue: . . . fhou cansf nof fhen be false fo any man. O MRS. FREES received her masfer's degree af Teachers' College, Columbia. She has faughf arf in Evander for six years. Before feaching af Evander, Mrs. Frees faughf af many ofher high schools, including James Monroe, where she mef her husband. Mrs. Frees has much pleasure in working wifh fhe sfage crew, and much of our scenery is due fo her experf guidance. O A favorife member of fhe girls' healfh educafion deparfmenf, MRS. GENADIO is fhe proud mofher of fwo college girls. Mrs. Genadio has had a number of arficles and sfories published in currenf magazines, including fhe Cafholic Home Message. We are excepfionally proud fhaf a member of our faculfy affended fhe Laurenfian Wrifers Conference lasf summer, and even prouder fhaf an arficle was wriffen abouf her in an issue of fhe Whife Plains Wesfchesfer News. I MRS. GORN has led our glee club since her arrival in Evander fwo years ago. She has assisfed in fhe producfion of a Varsify Show and fhe Spring Fesfivals. Mrs. Gorn sfudied af Hunfer, Manhaffan College of Music, and Columbia Universify. She holds a masfer's degree in music. Her prime inferesf is her young son, who plays a iazz and classical clarinef. She enioys gardening, cooking, and phofography. 0 MRS. HOLT began her career as French feacher af Evander Childs upon graduafion from Hunfer College. Affer a year she leff us, buf refurned several years ago and has been encouraging correcf French pronunciafion since. Her ofher loves, besides French, are music, cooking, and her son, who is sfudying law. O MISS KEOGH affended Savage School for Physical Educafion. She has been in Evander since l93O. Miss Keogh likes badminfon, bridge, and ice skafing. She also enioys scrabble. Miss Keogh likes everyfhing abouf feaching, alfhough she feels fhaf fhe lower 'rerm sfudenf is more enfhusiasfic fhan fhe upper fermer. O MISS ORENSTEIN, of fhe Biology Deparfmenf, fhinks fhaf mosf of fhe Evander sfudenfs are wonderful young men and women. She urges all sfudenfs who can, fo go ouf of fown for fheir college educafion. O MR. SHER was born in Poland, and is a graduafe of Seward Park High School and Cify College of New York. He has served as a speaker af fhe celebrafion of fhe fenfh anniversary of fhe Unifed Nafions, and recenfly direcfed an assembly program af- fended by fhe senior class. O MR. ARLEN came fo Evander in I930, and has since been fhe coach of fhe foofball feam. He is fhe fafher of fhree children, and lives in Long Beach. Mr. Arlen is in charge of fhe nighf cenfer af Evander, and among ofher fhings enioys fishing and boafing, as well as ofher sporfs. ln I942, Mr. Arlen helped fhe Evander gridmen mainfain a perfecf record-un- defeafed and unfied. He hopes fhaf his coaching has helped fhe boys, and admifs fhaf he gefs greaf pleasure from if. Mr. Arlen says, We are forfunafe fo be in a school 'rhaf has such wonderful leadership. I Miss BAADEN has been feaching in our commercial deparfmenf for fwo years. She was graduafed from Hunfer College. Miss Baaden enioys working wifh fhe sfudenfs of Evander Childs. She is an avid fheafer-goer. Prior fo feaching af Evander she worked for many years in 'rhe business world. Miss Baaden fhus knows whaf indusfry looks for in secrefarial workers. I A feacher who has been sfimulafing and helpful bofh. fo her home room class and her Healfh Educafion classes is MRS. BENSON. Her hobby is magic, in which she is quife experf, being frequenfly called on for children's parfies. She enjoys feaching her fwo dogs difficulf fricks, and also enioys enferfaining in her charming home in New Jersey. 0 MRS. BISHOP, feacher of swimming, has been in Evander for eleven years. She is delighfed fhaf fhe sfudenfs like fo become good swimmers. Along wifh swimming, Mrs. Bishop enioys horseback riding, and is delighfed fo feach in Evander. O MR. CAGNO, of fhe lfalian Deparfmenf, has been in Evander since I939. He affended Ginnasio in lfaly, and is now fhe fafher of fhree children. Mr. Cagno enioys coming in confacf wifh youngsfers, and frying fo make good cifizens ouf of fhem. Of his many oufside inferesfs, playing chess and wrifing fexf books are among fhe favorifes. O MRS. CENDALI resides in New York, and was graduafed from Hunfer College. Besides feaching English in Evander, she has supervised dramafics. Mrs. Cendali enioys fraveling, and would like fo furfher her knpwledge in fhe field of aviafion. Her fondesf and mosf favorife inferesf is her four year old daughfer. O MR. CHEITMAN, a popular and well loved feacher of Spanish, has faughf af Evander Childs since I9l8. His ambifion was fo become a docfor. However, because of fhe greaf demand for feachers af fhaf fime, he decided fo enfer fhe 'reaching profession. Affer grad- uafing from C. C. N. Y., he affended Fordham Universify, N. Y. U. and fhe Universify of Madrid. Mr. Cheifman is quife fond of opera, and loves fishing. He is acquainfed wifh eighf languages, and enioys fhe sfudy of ornifhology. Mr. Cheifman exfends his besf wishes fo fhe graduafes. O MR. CUNNINGHAM, a graduafe of Evander Childs, makes his home in Armonk and is fhe proud fafher of a son and daughfer. He has been presidenf of fhe Board of Educafion in Armonk for fhe pasf fen years. Mr. Cunningham feaches archifecfural drawing in Evander, and is an ardenf fruifgrower af home. He has also wriffen magazine arficles for fhe New England Homesfead. O A graduafe of James Monroe High School, MRS. DAYNARD earned her Bachelor of Arfs degree af Hunfer
