NLETTERED ...... UNFETTERED l have entered thy halls, Evander: A ceaseless hum, the huzz of eager voices, circles and swirls about meg I catch at the voices and strive to malce them my own, But I cannot touch them: Vvoncler envelopes me in an aureole of distance and awe. l have wallced through your halls, Evander: The hum and huzz have entered into me, and I am joytully ot them: New Hashes ot light luurst upon my vision, New roads open lxelore my feet. My gladdened heart follows, Hungering for the richness of your learning, Thirsting for the wine of your knowledge. l stretch forth my hands: HOW Can l embrace all oi you? l am leaving thee now, Evander: Thy gleaming hrilliance has softened, its vibrant colors deepened, I feel thy spirit mellowing, blending with mine. The heat of thee becomes my pulse,-1 Years shall not dull its echo, nor dim its rhythmg Rememhering thee, I shall grow greater with thy greatness. For you have clispelled the darlmess hetore my eyes, Evander, And to my ialtering steps you have given wings!

ZYXVVVUTS ZYXXYVVTS ZYXXVVIYTS ZYXXYVUTS ZYXXVVIITS ZYXXVVUTS ZYXXVVUTS FROM Z T0 A Now that we are about to leave Evander, we IooIc hack upon the four years we spent here with more than a little regret. For we lcnow that the joys we have experienced can revisit us now only through the medium ol memory. Still we find comfort in the many friends we have made here, and in the countless reminiscences of school life which will enrich our future years. I It could have heen yester- day that we entered Evandefs halls as freshmen, confused. utterly at a loss, and susceptible to any pranlcs that would he thought up lay the almighty seniors. How can we forget the time that we glanced timidly into the lunchroom, and aslced where we were supposed to checlx our ruhhers? Or the time that we forgot Monday was music day, and were accused of cutting hy an outraged teacher? But that was only in the heginning. We soon loecame more adept at finding our way around the school. Vve, too, managed to slip unnoticed into Sally,s or Bill,s elevator: we too strutted into the various class- rooms and offices as it we owned them: and hest of all, we no longer hetieved sundry practical jolcers who sent us to fetch striped paint or left-handed monkey wrenches. We were part ot the passing parade. I Two things stood out in our sophomore year. Une was our posi- tion as ultra-sophisticated Hsophsn who rememhered our days as Freshmen with faint smiles ot amusement. The other was Char- ley's Auntf, Mr. George H. Friedlanderys dramatic production which simply cannot stay out of the conversation when we are dis- cussing the good ol, days. I There was a light and a serious side to our Junior year. Those were the days of heer jackets and saddle shoes, when all you had to do was glance around a corner in order to find a hunch of Evanderites swingin' it out with the Big Applefy RQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBAZYXNVVUTSRQPONINILKJIHGF RQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBAZYXVVVUTSRQPONBILKJIHGF RQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBAZYXVVVUTSRQPONBILKJIHGF RQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBAZYXVVVUTSRAQPONB'lLK.lIHG RQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBAZYXXVVUTSRQPONSILKJIHGFEDCBAZY RQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBAZYXWVUTSRQPONNILKJIIIGFEDCBAZY EDCBAZY EDCISAZY EDCBAZY FEDCBAZYQ RQPONIVILKJIHCFEDCBAZYXNVVUTSRQPONBILKJIHGFEDC ZYXXYVUTSRQP SRQPONINILKJIH ZYXXVVUTSRQI' SRQPONBILKJIII ZYXXVVUTSRQI' SROPONNILKJIII ZYXXVVUTSRQP SRQPONINILKJIII ZYXXYVUTSRQP SRQPONINILKJIII ZYXXVVUTSRQI' iRQI'ON1NII.K.IIlI ZYXXVVUTSRQI' SRQPONINILKJIII ZYXXVVUTSRQI' SRQPONSILKJIH ZYXNVVUTSRQI' LRQPONINILKJIII ZYXXVVUTSRQI' SRQPONMLKJIH ZYXXVVUTSRQI' SRQPONZNILKJIII ZYXXVVUTSRQP ZRQPONNILKJIII ZYXXVVUTSRQP 1RQI'ONBII.KJII'I ZYXXVVUTSRQP SRQPONBILKJIH ZYXXVVUTSRQI' SRQPONINLKJIH ZYXXYVUTSRQP ERQPONINILKJIII ZYXXYVUTSRQP FRQPONBILKJIII ZYXXVVUTSRQP FRQPONBILKJIII -RQPONINILKJIH ZYXXYVUTSRQP O G O C- O G U G O G O G O G O G O G O G O C C 3 G O G O G O G O C O G O G G O BAZ NBII.
