The juniors, presided over by Martha Mrs. Lawrence Putman Walters, enjoyed a busy year in '48 and Homeroom Mother '49, their last as underclassmen by the way. They started things off with a party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Put- man in September. They had a booth at the P. T. A. Halloween Carnival in November and presented a musical as- sembly program in December. Their Hclowning moment was the presenta- tion of Watch Out For Spool-rs, a mystery-comedy play in three acts. They will not soon forget Joe Allen Hess and Daisy Carter in the roles of Jed and Hollyhock. Their secretary, Barbara Putman, was crowned Queen of the Highlanders at the Homecom- ing game with Ridgeway. The seniors will best remember the juniors for the wonderful Junior-Senior Banquet held on the 13th of May. The juniors had begun plans for a second party in the spring at time of publication. 4-N'

Mrs. George Head Homeroom Mother The 49 ers climaxed their high school days with an enjoyable senior year. After conducting frosh initiation for a week in September they held the Harvest Moon Festival on October lst. It was highlighted by a mock trial and weiner roast. In November they pre- sented a country school assembly program. Skip Day and the Senior Trip followed later in the year. The annual was their greatest literary ac- complishment. At time of publication, no plans had been made for a play.
