Most seventh grade girls seem to enjoy medicine ball. Pictured below are three irls who look like 8 they are playing with real enthusiasm. Wrestling is one of the many activities for the boys in their gym classes. Some dread this activity and others look forward to it. The activity at the left demonstrates the reversal hold. Before beginning their activities the boys usually take several warm-up exercises. Pictured at right you see them ex- ercising and in the back- ground is the coach, Mr. Kennedy. Girls gym classes enjoy many activites, Above is pictured one trying to get over the bar. Some make it and some don't5 but all have a good time.

l ? FOUR TRAGIC DAYS OF 1963 The weekend of November 22 through 25 will long be remembered in the minds of all the people of the. United States and most of the world, because of the tragic assassina- tion in Dallas , Texas , of our late President jphn F. Kennedy. It was a fresh sunny morning in Dallas , Texas in November. Jacqueline Kennedy, with a bright smile upon her lips and a bouquet of roses in her arms , walked at the side of her husband, John F. Kennedy, the 325th President of the United States. The cavalcade started for town from the airport, to take the President to the Da'llas Food Mart where he was to make a speech. A few miles ahead, in a sixth story window, waited the assassin. The President was waving at the spectators when his wave turned to a clutching move- ment at his throat. Governor Conally glanced back to see what was happening and was also struck by a bullet and as he fell to the floor of the car, the President collapsed in his wife s arms. They were rushed to Parkland Hospital where emergency treatment was given to the President. Then last rites were performed, as President Kennedy was dead. The President, now being dead, was put into a casket, and there Jackie said farewell with a kiss and a ring which she slipped from her finger to his. All the while, on a plane back to Washington, she stayed with the casket. On the 23 of November the prime suspect in the assassination, twenty-four year old Lee Harvey Oswald was given a parafin test on his hands to see if he had fired a gun recently. Oswald definitely denied it. Upon arriving in Washington, President johnson declared Monday the 25, a national day of mourning. A On Sunday, jack Ruby Rubenstein, the owner of two night clubs in Dallas, entered the basement of the police station while Oswald was being transferred to a more secure place, and shot and killed him in front of millions of TV viewers of the United States. The funeral services were held November 25 and then the Procession proceeded on into Arlington Cemetary where dignitaries of various foreign nations, were waiting, where President Kennedy was honored by a twenty-one gun salute, and the lighting of the eternal light on his grave. Through all this , Mrs. Kennedy had a strong and proud head. She walked as a Queen and talked as an Ambassador. 28
