DEDICATICN In recognition of the outstanding contribution he has made to Eureka High School, the Class of 1967 dedicates this l'Hornet to LECNARD SAVAGE Mr. Savage, math and physics teacher, has an unique tie with this class by being its advisor during all of its four years. Guiding, advising, and showing both patience and firmness, he has given un- selfishly of his time and energy. As a teacher, his wide range of knowledge, his cheerful manner, and his faultless ability to commun- icate have made his classes rewarding and memorable. By dedicating the 1967 Hornet to him the Class of 1967 expresses its deep appreciation to a man who has greatly enriched its high school experience.

FOREWCRD The Senior Students of Eureka High School meet the end of this year with sadness, mixed with questing expectation. Sad because we leave behind us four years of ex- pectation. Expectant because the years beyond we now know will bring us surprises rather than guarantees. The years in this school have been well spent, be- cause they have geared us for what may be ahead. As a result of these years, we expect both success and hap- piness, but are more able to accept the unexpected. With this yearbook we leave this school as students, to return only as alumni. We expect happiness - - are capable of accepting sadness - - and hope for all future graduating classes that they are as fortunate as we.
