From the beginning the fundamental aim of Eurekans has been to place ed- ucation as a foundation or cornerstone of all else, because they have had the understanding and realization that civilization and the principles of democracy depend on a learned and clear thinking people. ' Having had the support and loyalty of Eureka in every attainment, we have gone ahead, with afeeling of security and satisfaction, for we have known that-- 'our town stands behind us and boosts us --which gives us the necessary cour- age to go ahead.
