J 2, wQ ',.-' Leslie K. Grimes Page Eight gg: Q-ufizminfsnclcnf Although we cannot fully realize the extent and importance of Dr. Grimes' responsibilities, we lmow that they are many and that it takes a capable person to handlethem. To view the results of Dr. Grimes' work, we merely look about us and see a school system that runs smoothly, with cooperation between student and teacher. He has not only conducted the school with careful thought for the present during the nine years he has been here, but he has constantly kept an eye to the future and the problems it may present. All this foretells even greater educa- tional opportunities for Eureka.

Most of these dreams an plans have originated in the minds of six men who, in their capacities as mem bers of the Board of Education, represent the district of Eureka. To them we are grateful for their interest in our welfare. f ?5f1g ,:, Huh 'A s Q ' j Ni l s d Page Seven

XS X x gs., 92 'lx gsiirlma ,M Morgan Selvidge gifs fpzinatfzaf The many things which Mr. Selvidge has done for the school have made us realize that his first wish is to make it a happy place where we can work with pleasure. Foremost in his mind at all times has been the interests of the students, their likes and dislikes, and their many prob- lems which he has undertaken to help them solve. A success, such as Mr. Selvidge represents, certainly merits the sin- cere thanks of a grateful student body who appreciate the fact that he has added one more jewel to our treasure chest. Page Nine
